Looking for the best PlayStation VR2 games? Here are the top 25 best PS VR2 games recommendations for PS5 VR headsets:
At launch, PlayStation VR2 ran through the door with a rather heavy library of VR games and some exclusive titles. The PS VR2 Library receives several new ports and exclusives in its first year, with upcoming VR games in progress. We’ll update our picks over time as we continuously try new experiences to update our list of the best PS VR2 games.
We have tried to represent titles from different genres, presenting the best picks in each and ranking all 25 games in ascending order. There are some obvious picks and first-party exclusives that you might expect to appear, but there is also a comfortable choice of hidden gems from indie developers.
If you own a PS5 Pro, we’ve also created a list of all PlayStation VR2 games with PS5 Pro Enhancements. It’s a pretty sparse choice at the moment, but if you’d like to try out controller-free gameplay, we’ve put together all the PlayStation VR2 games with hand tracking support.
Most of these games are multi-platform and can also be used on Quest 2, Steam or the original PSVR. However, it often offers improved visuals and other upgrades for the PS VR2. If possible, highlight reviews of the PS VR2 editions of each game. If there’s no significant difference in multi-platform games, link to reviews that run on other platforms.
You’ll need to draw a line somewhere using these lists, but there are more great options to choose from from PlayStation VR2. So I would like to offer an honorable mention here too. All of these are games that were previously on the list or completely unbeatable the rest.
If possible, I’ve linked reviews and other reports below, but here are some additional options worth considering.
- 3d between us, The longing of the cave, Tabor’s Ghost, Hidden memories of the garden during that time, Humanity, On black, Job Simulator, Maestro, Max Mustard, Madison VR, moss, Moss: Book 2, Fasmus phobia, Smash Drum, I’ll be silent, Star Wars: A Tale from the Galaxy, Tentacles, Dark Photo: Switchback VR, Vampire: Masquerade – Masayoshi, Dizziness 2, The Wizard’s Waltz, What bat?
That being said, here are the current picks of the top 25 best PS VR2 games available today:
The Story of a Fisherman 2
Fisherman’s Tale 2 (previously known as the Another Fisherman’s Tale) is the second article in this puzzle series in Innerspace VR, following the release of the Mindbending original in 2019. The player will again embed the fisherman Bob.
New mechanics allow you to separate parts of Bob’s body from yourself, manipulate them independently around the environment to solve puzzles, reaching new locations. Experience in the first game is not necessarily required. This sequel doesn’t always reach the same peak as its predecessor, but presents a wider range with many original ideas over a few fun hours.
Another Fisherman’s Story Review: Overboard of the Hands and Foots of this Innovative Sequel
Another Fisherman story is available today on Quest, PC VR and PSVR 2. Here’s the full review.
Alien: Rogue Incursion-Part 1
Developed by Survios, Alien: Rogue Incursion-Part One, a single-player action horror VR game with an ingenious story. This former colonial Marine, starring Zula Hendricks as the main character, turned Xenomorph Hunter.
Below are, while still admirable, entries in the series. Our launch review praised the “important atmosphere, storytelling and emotional character dynamics” but criticised the repetitive elements and lack of closure. Still, Alien: Rogue Incursion offers a powerful choice if you’re looking for a new VR action adventure.
Alien: Rogue Incursion Review – Promising yet incomplete entry
Alien: Rogue Incursion offers a VR action horror focused on tense atmospheric narratives that prevent its repetition. Here’s our complete review.

Arizona Sunshine 2
Arizona Sunshine 2 is an incredible VR campaign featuring writing, acting, pacing and outstanding action that is perfect for the pitch. It’s everything you want in the sequel, taking everything you worked in the original and refine it to almost perfect. This time, we will be taking part in an adventure with a dog companion buddy. This buddy is used for crowd control during intense action sequences and builds relationships throughout the campaign course.
Follow-up to one of VR’s inventive early hits brings back the zombie genre and brings some of the most engaging and accessible arcade violence we’ve seen in VR. Moreover, the entire campaign is playable with a two-player cooperative, just like the first game. Arizona Sunshine 2 is a great choice whether you’re trying to tear apart a zombie apart on your own or with friends. And once you’re done, I recommend checking out the Arizona Sunshine remake as well.
Arizona Sunshine 2 Review: Reviving the Died Genre
Arizona Sunshine 2 will be released this week in Quest, PSVR 2 and PC VR. Here is our review:

The Arken era
Arken Age has paid clear attention to the evolution of VR gameplay design over the past decade and has used them to its advantage. Developer VitruviusVR offers a satisfying sci-fi action adventure that protects this fantasy world from mechanical creatures, and offers a considerable campaign with room for follow-up.
All this is supported by a lively presentation with excellent visuals and powerful audio design, and PS5 Pro owners have also got a noticeable boost. Native 90FPS gameplay is available with a resolution boost, but both PS5 consoles use dynamic fovet rendering and eye tracking for AIM assist. This has been one of our favorite VR games of 2025 so far and is an absolute must for action fans.
Arken Age Review: Sci-fi adventures with amazing VR design
Arken Age offers a satisfying sci-fi adventure with its clever VR-oriented design, and is released on PlayStation VR2 and Steam.

Defeat Saber
For a long time, Beat Saber was a child of VR posters and was one of its early (and ongoing) successes. This is always a natural fit for VR. There, you will try to cut down on musical beats, evacuation obstacle notes and master a truly epic selection of top-notch music tracks. It’s an empowering, energetic, and addictive VR game.
Many new DLCs have been added to beat Saber over the years, including famous artists such as Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Billy Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter. With PS VR2, Beat Saber offers improved visuals and excellent tactile support via the Sense controller, along with cross-by support with the original PSVR version and DLC.
However, future list updates may remove this entry. Beat Saber will end PlayStation VR and PS VR2 support, and multiplayer support will end on January 21, 2026 on both headsets.
Beat Saber Review 2022: Original VR titles remain relevant as ever
With regular updates, DLC releases and game changes since launch, Beat Saber remains a child of VR posters. Read the updated Beat Saber Review for Quest 2, PSVR, and PC VR. Long-standing domination makes it difficult to withhold Saber’s influence on the VR industry.

In front of your eyes
You’ll see a tragic yet beautiful story experience right in front of you, and the VR version is only available on PS VR2. This is a unique 90-minute storyline with an eye tracking mechanic, unlike other uses of technology up until now. You are brought back to the memory of the main character Benny and experience them from his first person perspective as they happened.
The catch is that every time you flash, the story moves forward. Sometimes it’s just a moment, sometimes it’s a jump from a few years ago in the future. Below is a unique, engaging and innovative VR experience that shows how media tells the story of things that movies, games and other media can’t. Plus, it’s a controller-free experience with little artificial movement and accessible to most people.
VR reviews in front of you – A sublime, immersive story
Before your eyes, you will find experience with the sublime story of PSVR 2, leveraging eye tracking techniques to tell emotional stories about the eyes, death, and everything in between.

C-Smash VRS
This VR reboot of Cosmic Smash adapts the arcade classic of PS VR2, mixing squash and breakouts in a first-person perspective. The concept of C-Smash VRS is simple – a hit ball with colored pads spread across the space station – but it’s full of arcade-like charm. There is Solo ‘Journey’ mode. This allows you to play the Quick Campaign in five planetary orbits with two difficulty options.
If you’re looking for online multiplayer, there are four modes: face-to-face, firewall, body shot, and quick shot. Although there is no great depth in the gameplay, the C-Smash VRS finds strength in simplicity, which is enhanced by a smooth presentation. Post-release additions such as time attack modes and wipeout-themed updates simply push this even more.
C -Smash VRS Review – The Future is Retro
With stylish visuals and fun multiplayer, C-Smash VRS is an amazing PSVR 2 remake of Sega Arcade Classic. Our complete review:

Demeo
Demeo, a tabletop dungeon crawler RPG for resolution games, is one of the best social VR games on all platforms, and its PS VR2 release is there. The game not only supports cross-platform play, but also allows you to team up with players in Quest or PC VR. It also looks better than ever on the PS VR2. This has grown following recent technical updates.
The PS VR2’s OLED display with HDR support allows for a much deeper black man than riding a quest, while there is no jagged edge. With several extensions available since its release, Demeo offers players the best content and engaging social experiences VR has to offer. This is the best non-exclusive PS VR2 release, and can also play flat screens on the PS5. If you’re interested in PVP spinoffs, Demeo Battles is also available.
Demeo Review – Social VR Master Class for Charming Tabletop RPGs
Is Resolution Games’ most ambitious VR title the best ever? Check out our Demeo reviews! Demeo is one of the times when it works. Ok, that’s the overall promise to leap the miles between friends and family and experience authentic social connections in virtual spaces through magic

Gran Turismo 7
The Gran Turismo 7 is one of the most powerful racing sims to decorate VR and is exclusive to the PS VR2. The menu appears on the flat screen of the headset, but the race and gameplay itself take place in a complete, immersive VR.
The game is not only spectacular, but also offers great racing simulations with different levels of difficulty, complete campaigns and many other modes. For race fans, this is an absolute must.
Gran Turismo 7 PSVR 2 Review – Start the Engine
Sony’s flagship racing series, Gran Turismo 7, is now a release title for the PSVR 2. It is now available as a free update for existing PS5 owners. This is a complete review. Gran Turismo Sport has promised something bigger with PSVR. Includes VR support limited to 1V1 race against AI opponents

The world of assassination of a hitman
The world of Hitman World’s assassination on PlayStation VR2 is technically the fourth time I’ve seen the series IO Interactive adapted to VR, and this is the easy best edition ever. This latest release is improved in previous PSVR and PC VR versions by offering ambidextrous controls, dual wheeled, manual reloads, and room-scale gameplay.
This is a redeemed experience that is further enhanced by improved weapon handling and complete physical interactions across these environments, such as poisoning food by pouring vials of poison. Sadly, like bonus missions, many side content doesn’t support VR. Still, after a long campaign with high rebirthability, the world of Hitman assassination is a great choice.
Hitman: World of Assassination Trilogy (PS VR2) Review – Redemption Experiences
IO Interactive has made several attempts with PS VR2 to achieve its goal with Hitman: World of Assassination.

Calling for the mountain horizon
As one of the few first-party games with PlayStation VR2 support, Horizon Call of the Mountain quickly left that mark when the headset launched in 2023.
Gameplay isn’t necessarily revelation for VR, but it’s still very refined and a stunning experience as someone else who explores another aspect of this world as someone other than Aloy. Awarded his favorite new PS VR2 game of 2023, Horizon Call of the Mountain, owner of PS VR2, is a must-have.
Mountain Review’s Horizon Call: A stunning showcase for PSVR 2
Horizon Call of the Mountain is a powerful start to PlayStation VR2, introducing new features in the headset through an engaging action adventure. Here’s our complete review. Game launches are important for new platforms. The first impression only happens once, and the PlayStation VR2 is moving…

Kayak VR: Mirage
Kayak VR: Mirage was the highlight of the PS VR2 release lineup, offering stunning visual presentations and a relaxing experience in four locations: Papagayo, Antarctica, Bjornoya and Australia. There is a competitive multiplayer mode, but where the game shines, it’s free roaming, where you can sit, relax and enjoy the view.
While it may not have a large selection of full-scale campaigns or game modes, Kayak VR is one of the most relaxed VR experiences available on the platform, and can be viewed from all angles. This was only improved in Socha Valley and Yucatan DLCS, which introduce two new environments, and a real-time multiplayer update has also been introduced.
Kayak VR: MiragePSVR 2 Review – A calm waters
Following last year’s PC VR release, Kayak VR: Mirage has arrived on PlayStation VR2. Developed by a Better Life, how does this visually stunning physics-based SIM Fare freight with the new PS5 headset? Here’s our complete review. Kayak VR is my biggest surprise of the PSVR 2 release titles.

Metro Awakening
Developed by Vertigo Games, Metro Awakening is a story of origin based on the Post Apocalypse series by Dmitry Glukhovsky, which took place five years before Metro 2033. This is an impressive first person shooter with an immersive atmosphere and an impressive first person shooter while offering a strong story with themes of sadness and mental health.
Although our reviews highlighted several issues with repeated issues and sometimes clumsy reloads, we find combat generally satisfying. Enemy AI can provide considerable challenges as it puts you in stealth or riding a gun, and you can get recommendations for PlayStation VR2.
Metro Awakening Review: A fascinating tale of survival in the dark underworld of Moscow
Go deep into the subway and experience the post-nuclear apocalyptic Russian dystopian future in the awakening of the subway.

There’s no man’s sky
With its rocky launch in 2016, Man’s Sky is notorious for its rocky launch. Since then, the game has received support for VR and plenty of updates that have turned it into a vast survival space simulator. Also, various updates have overhauled many of the VR mechanics, adding new ways of interacting and immersive menus, and post-release updates have not stopped.
With PlayStation VR2, Man’s Sky won’t bring all the experience to the next generation. Recent updates have improved image quality and improved rendering, making the game even better than ever. If you want to explore an infinite infinite universe in VR, look no further. Man’s Sky is not a perfect fit. It is also the first PS VR2 game to use PSSR AI Upscaling on the PS5 Pro.
Man’s Sky PS VR2 No Review: Jump to Hyper Speed
There’s no Man’s Sky added PS VR2 support to match the headset launch last month, but how does the game hold up?

Pavlov
Pavlov has been a favorite among PC VR players for a long time and is now also present in the PS VR2. Although there are limited offline single-player options modeled after Counter Strike, VR FPS is experienced online in a variety of team-based game modes. Pavlov is a precision-based shooter, balancing realism with the mechanics of fascinating gameplay. I find guns great to use and playing online with friends is the best bet for ongoing entertainment. It rarely gets in the way of progression.
Unlike Pavlov Shack on Quest, the “light” version of the game designed for standalone hardware, Pavlov brings the PS VR2 a complete PC VR experience and supports cross-play with PC players. The only part that’s missing is mod support available on PC VR. In other words, the current game mode is the range of what you want to play.
Pavlov VR Review – Straight Shooter for PSVR 2
Pavlov is a solid VR multiplayer shooter game that thrives with tactile interaction and gunfire.

Pistol whip
Pistol Whip is one of the longest-running and well-established games in VR on all platforms. Luckily, it shines on the PS VR2, looks great, and takes advantage of the unique features of the PS VR2, with adaptive triggers on the sensory controller and more. The PS VR2 headset Haptics also adds to the immersion and can really feel it every time you shoot, and can have a much greater impact on those moments.
It’s a beautiful intersection between rhythm games, super hot action and matrix-style film talent. The enemy will travel along the scene on the railroad as they dive into the pump’s soundtrack. Your job is to do so in time for the beat of the music, not just when the enemy is approaching. It’s a great concept, and developer Cloudhead games have been expanding the game for years with numerous free content updates.
Pistol Whip 2023 Review: More than ever
Pistol Whip has only grown since its release in 2019. 2023Pistol Whip Review covers everything that has been added to the game since its launch.

Red Substance 2
The original Red Matter sets a new benchmark for the visuals of the quest standalone system, and then the sequel did the same in Quest 2. Upon arrival at PSVR2, Vertical Robot 2 again thrusts Red Matter 2, leveraging the power of the PS5 to push the visuals even more. If you’ve never played it before, this is the definitive way to experience it.
The PS VR2 release features 4K remaster textures for sharper environments, 120FPS support (native, non-suppressed at 120Hz), and eye-catching foveate rendering, culminating in great end results. Beyond the visuals, Red Matter 2 offers fun sci-fi adventures with intriguing stories, fun puzzles and inheritable combat.
Hands-on: Red Matter2 hits new heights with PSVR 2
Red Matter 2 landed on PSVR 2 this week, offering the definitive version of this VR SF Adventure. This is our impression:

Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village marks the second mainline Resident Evil game that gets VR support after Resident Evil 7: Resident Evil began PSVR support in 2017. Like Resident Evil, Village is a phenomenal launch title for PS VR2, an amazing horror shooter game with a fascinating campaign from start to finish.
This is especially impressive considering that the game was originally designed for a flat screen platform. However, that also means it has a rather intense sequence for new VR users. Expect your head and vision to be repositioned, thrust into and moving around quickly. Nevertheless, thanks to its well-paced campaign, gorgeous visuals and engaging shootings, Resident Evil Village is now one of the best experiences on PS VR2.
Resident Evil Village PSVR 2 Review – Striking and Attractive
Resident Evil 8 on PlayStation VR2 features intense action along with stunning visuals that are “a more severe and shocking leap” than standalone.

Resident Evil 4 Remake
Yes, we know – there are two Resident Evil campaigns on the same list. But it deserves both games. While Village is a great campaign in itself, Resident Evil 4 Remake VR mode is the definitive way to play the best classics of all time in VR. Note that this is actually the second version of Resident Evil 4 in VR. The first Violin is Quest’s original 2021 port.
This new release will allow you to experience the recent remake of Capcom, featuring updated gameplay and modern visuals in PS VR2’s VR mode. The remake doesn’t completely escape the trapping of third-person origins, but it still offers a thrilling non-stop campaign with excellent action and stunning console-driven visuals. This is Capcom’s Best Resident Vilod campaign in VR so far, and you can also get a free VR mode demo.
Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Review: The Definitive VR Version
The VR mode of Resident Evil 4 Remake is simply a must for PSVR 2 owners. Here is our complete review:

Skydance Giants
After working on The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, Skydance Games followed this with the original action RPG, the Skydance giant. Inspired by Shadow of the Colossus, this huge murder adventure will see you exploring abandoned land. Behemoth is ultimately at his best when he is facing a terrifying enemy, and this truly brings us a moment of awe-inspiring.
While I don’t deny that the Skydance giant has gotten off to a rough start, we’ve noted a few issues in our own reviews, but following many updates after the release, things are beginning to turn around. In addition to extensive bug fixes across the first two patches and combat tuning, there are also improvements to Boss Rush and Arena modes, along with the new Game+.
Skydance’s Behemoth Review: Great Boss Fights offers decent VR action
The Skydance giant is at its best when facing honorable creatures, but it is not a completely clean sweep of abandoned land.

Synapses
Synapse is exclusive to the PS VR2 from veteran VR Studio ndreams, and feels like a gun-wielding Jedi thanks to the creative use of the headset’s eye-opening technology.
The highlight of this roguelike shooter is its telekinetic ability. Simply look at your environment, you can intuitively select items around your environment, then activate them with your enemies using motion controls. The gameplay will benefit from a little more variety, but it is a visually impressive release, with an eye-catching implementation that will bring in some very satisfying battles.
The weak
Hamsa’s VR Mech Brawler Roguelike made a huge impact last year, winning the best PC VR game of 2024. The weak It is a physics-based brawler that uses arm-based movement and comic book-style presentations. This 22nd century underground loglique fighter set a new benchmark for VR arena combat.
Between stylish visuals, dirty soundscapes and unique characters, the underdog feels fresh and exciting. There have been many further updates since release, such as “Sandboxxer” using the Level Editor, but the recent “Rampage” mode has added an infinite endurance mode. Next up on the list is the multiplayer mode, with further updates.
The Underdog Review: VR Arena Combat’s New Benchmark
The weak sets new benchmarks for VR Arena combat. Our complete review:

Midnight walk
Following his work in PSVR’s Ghost Giant, Olofred Malm is working again in VR at his new studio, Moonhood. Midnight Walk with optional PlayStation VR2 support marks the team’s debut title in a dark puzzle adventure that uses clay-like visuals. We found it to be charming and desolate, comparing it to a twisted fairy tale and a Tim Burton film.
It’s a memorable adventure and one of the most visually unique experiences you can find in a VR game right now. We’ve noticed some small issues and found the puzzle to be relatively easy, but midnight walks offer an engaging adventure worth your time.
Midnight Walk Review: Beautiful Dark Clay Adventures
With its charming dark fantasy world and beautiful clay-like visuals, Midnight Walk is a memorable journey in VR.

Walk About Mini Golf
Mini Golf actually can and does very well in VR. Walk About Mini Golf is all you need. This remains authentic, while accurately representing games that go beyond what is possible in real life.
This will check all boxes. It identifies physics that identify physics that are probably better than the real thing, with plenty of courses, extensive multiplayer support, different themes at each level, and, most of all, no small obstacles found on the surface of the physical course. Additionally, the game receives ongoing support from developer Mighty Coconut, with regular free and paid DLC courses added over time.
Walk About Mini Golf Review: A must-have VR worth scheduling with friends
Walkbout Mini Golf is today the PSVR 2 and is one of the essential games on any platform in VR. Our review:

Wanderer: Fragments of Destiny
Three years after Wanderer first appeared in the original PSVR, developer Mighty Eyes recently released a remake of the time travel adventure game. PlayStation VR2, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate is one of the good looking games for headsets, and our review provided “a unique, engaging story and an outstanding array of creative and satisfying puzzles.”
Sometimes it’s still coming. Following criticism at the time of release (mainly for the quest version), Mighty Eyes outlined planned updates on all platforms in its post-launch roadmap. In addition to combat rework and changes in NPC behavior, Wanderer’s PS VR2-specific upgrades include the PS5 Pro extension and 60 FPS resolution mode. New DLC and other changes are also ongoing.
Wanderer: Fate Roadmap Snippets reveal Battle & Quest 3 upgrades
Wanderer’s new roadmap: Fate Snippets promise major changes, including combat rework, PS5 Pro Enhancement, Quest 3 upgrades and more.
