Want the best Meta Quest 2 games? This is our number one recommendation.

Six years after the original Oculus Quest headset debuted, the content library available on the Meta Quest platform is bigger than ever. This will allow you to choose a list of the best Meta Quest 2 games. Meta Quest 3 is now available and the new Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset has significantly improved the visuals, so we’ve created a separate list of recommendations for the best quest 3 games.

Quest 2 and Quest Pro have been officially discontinued, but many developers continue to release games that are compatible with older headsets. So this list continues this list for the best quest 2 experiences and games available in this generation. There are some differences as other lists take into account the enhancements in Quest 3.

In the past, we have adopted a ranked approach to selecting the top 25 quest two games, but we currently employ a different strategy on unranked lists. That’s because we listed recommendations in alphabetical order without a score, as some games simply aren’t comparable in a meaningful way. The list is also intended to provide diversity across different genres and make sure there is something for everyone.

Best Meta Quest 2 Games: Honorable Remarks

You’ll need to use these lists to draw lines somewhere, but if so many great games are available, you don’t want to ignore the wider library. Here are some shy titles to make the top 25. Some were previously on the list and were tweaked later with new titles, but others were beaten by another game in the same genre.

With that in mind, definitely check out the following: Room VR, Eleven table tennis, Township Story, Blade and magic, Song in the smoke, Ghost Giant, I hope you die 2, Until you fall, Let go, Ghost Signal, Remove the plug, Carving a snowboard, Fighter: WW1 Fighter, Horn 2, Bonellave, Star Wars: Vader’s Immortal Trilogy, Tentacles, Super Voice 2, What bat?, Green Helland The last clockwinder.

This list is specific to Quest 2, but all games listed will also work with other quest headsets, such as Quest Pro and Quest 3. This excludes the original Oculus Quest headset following Meta’s decision to end support for Quest 1, but some older games are still available.

This may change as future VR games are released, but for now we’re going to show you the top 25 of the best Meta Quest 2 games.

The story of a fisherman

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vwcjpjoqyxi

Fisherman’s Tale is a unique mind-bending puzzle game that solves complex scale-based puzzles by working with yourself. Its best puzzles utilize miniature models of the lighthouse in the game’s set. There is a mini that can mimic any movement when you lift the roof of the model. Pass a giant object or stick your head to prevent your brain from breaking.

It’s travel, to say the least. Throwing in a heart-warming story about self-acceptance, there are short, keen VR games that stay far longer than most multi-hour epics. If you’re still more enthusiastic, you can check out the sequels, which are the other fishermen’s tales (later renamed to Fishermen’s Tale 2).

Fisherman’s Story Review: The Perfect Storm of VR

I’d never pegged Innerspace as something that would crack the code. Certainly, the Firebird series is a fascinating display of VR art, but who bet on this little indie studio that first integrated VR’s core pillars? Inventive, platform-driven gameplay, to bring about medium-sized stories

3d between us

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s20xy86c81q

US 3D brings a flat screen feel to VR in Quest 2, brilliantly translates the original game. This means adding new depth to an experience with the best VR designs, and the immersive feeling of experiencing this social whodunit in virtual reality offers an original while still familiar compared to flat screen releases.

Since its launch, it has been rebranded during US 3D (or 3D:VR on some platforms) to match the flat screen edition of PCs. Fortunately, the game supports cross-platform multiplayer, so you can play it with friends on PC, PC VR, PICO, PSVR 2. SchellGames continues to update after release, like a variety of limited-time events.

In US VR reviews: deceptions and detection in another dimension

It can be used in the Steam and Schell Games quest stores in US VR. Is this a new party game in VR or will it become a ghost ship? Check out the full review below. Schell Games is a veteran VR game studio as you can find. Those two

Arizona Sunshine 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jptpcmn-dcm

Arizona Sunshine 2 is an incredible VR campaign featuring writing, acting, pacing and outstanding action that is perfect for the pitch. It’s everything you want in the sequel, taking everything you worked in the original and refine it to almost perfect. This time, we will be taking part in an adventure with a dog companion buddy. This buddy is used for crowd control during intense action sequences and builds relationships throughout the campaign course.

Follow-up to one of VR’s inventive early hits brings back the zombie genre and brings some of the most engaging and accessible arcade violence we’ve seen in VR. Moreover, the entire campaign is playable with a two-player cooperative, just like the first game. Arizona Sunshine 2 is a great choice whether you’re trying to tear apart a zombie apart on your own or with friends. And once you’re done, I recommend checking out the Arizona Sunshine remake as well.

Arizona Sunshine 2 Review: Reviving the Died Genre

Arizona Sunshine 2 will be released this week in Quest, PSVR 2 and PC VR. Here is our review:

Asgard’s Wrath 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3syjem_laz0

Asgard’s Wrath 2 offers impressive scale at unknown levels previously invisible on the Quest Headset. It features many incredible moments of bespoke gameplay, professional film orientation, and divine proportions sequences. But it also envelops the best moments in an open world. This can make you feel quite frustrated to explore.

See also  Phoenix Gene Review: Flights Down with Flames

This game isn’t a tough, linear experience, but if you’re looking for a vast and approachable RPG to dig into, Asgard’s Wrath 2 is a great option. It’s worth keeping in mind that the game runs at a low rendering resolution in Quest 2, and hits a refresh rate of 72Hz compared to 90Hz in Quest 3. It receives the Graphics Mode Extended Mode in Quest 3, allowing you to experience previously limited time events on a rotation basis.

Asgard’s Wrath 2 Review: On a decent scale, what cost?

Asgard’s Wrath 2 presents a decent scale to quest users, what cost? Here is our full review and final verdict.

Nexus of the Assassin’s Creed

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qjhb9xeelo

There have been many understandable doubts as to whether the Assassin’s Creed franchise could overcome the transition to VR and get better off on the other side. However, Assassin’s Creed Nexus proves that the series can absolutely work in VR and is proud of the main series.

It offers players a 20-hour campaign, hope for more, and shows what a full-fledged VR entry can do for a big franchise. The adoption of the series’ stealth, parkour and combat in a new, immersive format will be featured in incredible productions. Note that compared to Quest 3, there is a noticeable resolution drop in Quest 2.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR Review: It stands up to the series

The Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR proudly stands with the main series. Our complete review:

Defeat Saber

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S8yi0yjweu

For a long time, Beat Saber was a child of VR posters and was one of its early (and ongoing) successes. It always fits naturally into the quest. There, you try to cut down notes to the beat of your music, dodge obstacles, and master a truly epic selection of top-notch music tracks. It’s an empowering, energetic, and addictive VR game.

There were plenty of new DLCs added over the years to beat Saber, including music packs and individual songs featuring well-known artists such as Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Billy Eilish, Metallica, and Kendrick Lamar. You can see that these releases will last for the next few months.

Beat Saber Review 2022: Original VR titles remain relevant as ever

With regular updates, DLC releases and game changes since launch, Beat Saber remains a child of VR posters. Our complete review:

Cubism

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8ufypkkk6e

Cubism is modest, but it’s definitely a great VR puzzle game, and it’s a seemingly simple game. Each level has the shape of a 3D wireframe and must fit into a wide variety of Tetris-like block pieces. Puzzles become more difficult and pieces become more complicated. This is a slow, measured puzzle experience. While it may not be as flashy as the other titles on this list, Cubism is an experience that is fully designed for the current functionality of Quest Hardware.

The minimalist design, pre-ordered soundtracks and their simple nature all come together to create a fantastic, refined final product. It also supports the latest cutting-edge VR features and is updated regularly. Post-release updates include pass-through mode, hand tracking and 120Hz support. If you’re a fan of puzzles that will make your mind work, don’t sleep with cubism. Solving each level is infinitely more complicated and incredibly rewarding than you might expect.

Cubism Review: VR puzzle game with all the right pieces

In the classic puzzle game format, cubism is easy to understand, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to master. But do the pieces fit together and form the perfect shape? Here’s a review of Cubism available for Oculus Quest and PC VR. The basic premise of cubism is as simple as it gets:

Demeo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcwoqosres4

Demeo is by no means a perfect tabletop game, but it is Really Something good. Importantly, its top-notch 4-player multiplayer VR experience makes it feel like a real social event in a way that there are very few flat screen and VR games and has never really matched them before. You choose a class to tackle randomly generated dungeons, but the game’s punishment difficulty means that the session lasts from several minutes to multiple hours.

Demeo is one of the best quest games that only got better with post-release updates, including technical updates. The free updates offered new campaigns to run new campaigns, including the Rule of the Madness, the Curse of the Serpent Lord, and more. It’s a must-have item for Quest 2 owners, and if you’re interested in PVP spinoffs, you can also use Demeo Battles.

Is Resolution Games’ most ambitious VR title the best ever? Check out our Demeo reviews! Demeo is one of the times when it works. Ok, that’s the overall promise to leap the miles between friends and family and experience authentic social connections in virtual spaces through magic

Eternal Dungeon

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1agfwziyw8

If you’re looking for a fantasy action RPG where you can play with a group of friends, Dungeons of Eternity is an obvious choice. This first person immersive experience feels significantly refined with every quest headset, allowing you and your friends to explore a variety of hack n slash combat options while clearing true “dungeon crawler” style rooms.

Dungeons of Eternity caters to many styles of play, combining a rewarding progression system with endless, randomly generated dungeons. There is good reason to name it the best new multiplayer VR game of 2023, and more updates are planned on later roadmap. There’s no better choice for an immersive first-person dungeon crawler.

Dungeons of Eternity Review: One of Co-op’s Best On Quest

Dungeons of Eternity offers one of the best VR cooperative adventures ever with the Meta Quest headset. Here’s our complete review.

The eyes of the temple

https://www.youtube.com/watch? v = regxk-jfhkg

Temple Eye is one of the best examples of VR’s designed games from scratch. It is a room-sized platformer for quest victory. This Indiana Jones-inspired adventure begins outside the large temple with a whip in one hand and a torch in the other. You’ll be able to complete the puzzle and navigate through platform obstacles along the way, leading you deeper into the temple.

See also  New VR games and releases in January 2025: Quest, SteamVR, PS VR2, and more

The temple’s eye genius part is that the room scale approach means that almost every movement is real around your play area. Some cleverly designed tricks ensure you don’t have to worry about entering the Guardian from the play space (which also makes for a great experience for those starting with VR). However, be careful. You need a decent amount of space. The eyes of the temple require a minimum play area of at least 2m x 2m.

Teey of the Temple Review: Triumphant Room Scale Adventure

Today, the Temple Eye appears in the quest. Here is our complete review:

Ghost Town

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=052hbb-f_ey

Ghost Town is one of our favorite new VR games ever in 2025, Dark Matter, a strong return in the fireproof game following VR in the room. Set in the 80s, the story focuses on a ghost hunter and an exorcist who became a witch called Edith Penrose.

It is a great supernatural puzzle, offering totally persuasive mystery, great visuals and intuitive puzzles. Our only complaint is that we wanted it to last longer, but don’t let it stop you. If you’re a fan of story-driven adventures, we highly recommend checking out Ghost Town.

Ghost Town Review: A Supernatural VR Adventure Whole Who Gets Enthralled

Ghost Town is a fantastic supernatural puzzle adventure from the VR studio room that you don’t want to miss.

Ironman VR

https://www.youtube.com/watch? v = qy4im1rikd8

Originally released exclusively for PSVR, Iron Man VR jumped into quests in 2022, dramatically improving my experience along the way. The system’s technical constraints have undermined the PSVR release, but Quest 2’s Iron Man VR is another beast.

With virtually no load time, switching to a wireless standalone system will make your gameplay even more immersed than ever. Tony Stark and his armor suits feature combat and traversal that lead to an addictive superhero experience in a thrilling and engaging story-driven campaign.

Small city

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzrb-19bztq

Little City is the best city simulator game available on any VR platform. Not to mention Quest 2, it completely distills the formula and emphasizes urban management through design. Instead of falling over the menu, the decline and flow of your city will depend on how you lay out the roads, the main services and the different elements offered.

This does all this while keenly aware of intelligent VR designs. Everything in the game is designed to work optimally and intuitively on a VR headset. Even if you’re not a fan of the City Simulator genre, Little City is visually stunning and charming. We also received several post-release content updates, including attraction updates, sandbox updates, and Snowy Island DLC.

Little City Review: Distillery Simulator that puts VR first

Little Cities presents a new take on the City Simulator genre built from the ground up for VR. It requires a more relaxed approach than traditional titles, but the result is a concise, native VR game with a solid foundation and room to expand. Read for us

Metro Awakening

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2ak2pxslk4

Developed by Vertigo Games, Metro Awakening is a story of origin based on the Post Apocalypse series by Dmitry Glukhovsky, which took place five years before Metro 2033. This is an impressive first person shooter with an immersive atmosphere and an impressive first person shooter while offering a strong story with themes of sadness and mental health.

Although our reviews highlighted several issues with repeated issues and sometimes clumsy reloads, we find combat generally satisfying. Enemy AI can offer a considerable challenge as it puts you stealth on weight and burns your gun. It’s worth watching, and Wake Up with Quest 2 also supports cross-buys with Rift, and the PC VR edition also offers an additional bonus.

Metro Awakening Review: A fascinating tale of survival in the dark underworld of Moscow

Go deep into the subway and experience the post-nuclear apocalyptic Russian dystopian future in the awakening of the subway.

Moss: Book 1 and Moss: Book 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgwdusqzxhu

Moss and Moss: Book 2 is a separate game, but I’ve included one entry in this list as one entry, flowing through each other. Book2 picks up the story after Book 1 ends. Moss has proven that third-person VR experiences can create the absolute best content on the platform. You guide an adorable little mouse named Quill at a diorama-sized level, solve puzzles and take on the scary creatures in sword-based combat.

Although mechanically refined, Moss’s true claim to fame is the bond he built with Quill over the course of his adventures. Play as a bigger mate of a small hero and when you work together to overcome obstacles, you really start to connect with her. It’s very similar to the effort of a team, but it’s a very surprising feeling in itself.

Moss Review: Quill is a small mouse that can be used

Check out the Rift and Vive update: Fortunately, the PC port on Moss is just as great as when I found out it was coming. The upgraded visual clarity is particularly noticeable in the environment itself.

The second article, Moss: Book 2, is technically a more powerful and long sequel, but it feels like a continuation of the same journey rather than a completely fresh adventure. That being said, it not only offers a wider range of environments and scenery than the original title, but also adds new mechanics to innovate in the original combat. The Moss series is not something to be missed.

Moss: Book 2 Review – A satisfying sequel that leaves room for growth

Moss: Book 2 takes logical steps to improve the first game, bringing a stronger sequel. However, there is still much more room for Quill and friends to grow. Read Moss: Book 2 Review. Moss: Book 2 moves needles for Quill and developers

Pistol whip

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3c0-qlwjmg

Continuing updates and new content solidified Pistol Whip as one of the best, most stylish arcade rhythm VR games. Its sharp, serene sound, beat-based gameplay has proven to be even more hypnotic than the beat saber, and in a 2023 review update, the Pistol Whip declared it’s better than ever. In this neon-lit shooter game, you will run down the hallways and blow up bad guys into grizzly tunes, avoiding incoming fires and trying to get the best score by firing them with beats.

While Beat Saber wants to be a Dance Jedi Master, Pistol Whip aims to teach John Wick-style gunhoo in style. Since its launch, Cloudhead Games has continued support for Pistol Whip with more content, new features and additional tracks, making it one of the most interesting and comprehensive arcade titles available in Quest 2.

Pistol Whip 2023 Review: More than ever

Pistol Whip has only grown since its release in 2019. 2023Pistol Whip Review covers everything that has been added to the game since its launch.

Population: 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7ink9v1zjq

Population: One is the Fortnite version of VR and it’s really going well. The match takes place on a huge map where three troops fight to put them in their final position. A solid shooter with excellent VR mechanisms for climbing and flying. But that also means that it can be a fierce experience in terms of comfort for some players.

If you need to fix a competitive shooter game with a battle royale structure like Fortnite, population: 1 is your best bet. It has cross-play support with other headsets, which are Phoenix Royale modes that arrived in 2024, and is also free to play in quests. Plus, there is cross-platform multiplayer support so you can play with friends using other headsets.

Population: 1 review – The new King of VR Battle Royale Shooter

After spending plenty of time with a multiplayer-only VR battle royale shooter, here is our full population: one review. I played it on Oculus Quest 2, and it’s a cross-play between Quest 1, Quest 2 and PC VR headset, along with Rift and Quest cross-by. Of all games released

Red Substance 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yrpk16ua3g

Red Matter 2 is an incredible sci-fi adventure and is one of the most impressive visual showcases available in Quest 2. After creating an equally stunning experience with the original Red Matter, the developers doubled by creating a compelling, luxurious sci-fi game with this sequel.

The gameplay is rather slow, focusing on environmental puzzles and occasional combat. It doesn’t always land as some puzzles start to get frustrated, especially towards the end. Still, some beautiful sci-fi vistas and environments make up for the occasional hiccups of gameplay and pacing.

Red Matter2 Review: Amazing visuals drive a compelling sci-fi sequel

If Red Matter set up a new benchmark for visuals for standalone VR hardware, Red Matter 2 had big shoes, especially in Quest 2. Thankfully, it only leads to a task. In fact, Red Matter 2 is the most impressive visual showcase available in Quest 2

Resident Evil 4 VR

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxzwx597vka

I was doubting that bringing classic flat screen titles to VR like Resident Evil 4 would work. But it not only withstanded the transition, it has also become one of the best games available on the quest platform. This was a complete campaign ported to immersive first-person VR with motion control support, later followed up in “mercists” mode.

There are some less ideal elements, such as using virtual cutscenes, but the overall gameplay is more experience than making up for it. If you have a PlayStation VR2 headset, please check out VR mode for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Still, fighting a horde of enemies as Leon Kennedy is a thrilling experience in Quest 2 and a great way to revisit the classics.

Resident Evil 4 VR Review: An incredible way to revisit the classic

There are clear issues with the ports and you need to play the original first, but Resident Evil 4 is a powerful VR experience. Read the Resident Evil 4 VR review. Like you, I was certainly worried. In fact, I’m very worried. The fans are of course protective

Skydance Giants

https://www.youtube.com/watch? v = z9774s

After working on The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, Skydance Games followed this with the original action RPG, the Skydance giant. Inspired by Shadow of the Colossus, this huge murder adventure will see you exploring abandoned land. Behemoth is ultimately at his best when he is facing a terrifying enemy, and this truly brings us a moment of awe-inspiring.

I don’t deny that the Skydance giant has gotten off to a rough start, but I’ve noticed some issues with the reviews, but things are beginning to turn around following many post-release updates. In addition to extensive bug fixes across the first two patches and combat tuning, there are also improvements to Boss Rush and Arena modes, along with the new Game+.

Skydance’s Behemoth Review: Great Boss Fights offers decent VR action

The Skydance giant is at its best when facing honorable creatures, but it is not a completely clean sweep of abandoned land.

Star Wave

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsvuehkmqgc

Starwave was one of the biggest surprises of 2024. Developed by Tigertron and Skymap Games. This includes completing your zodiac sign to mark notes in time for the music. In the genre dominated by Beatsaber, this interstellar VR rhythm game offers a unique premise with considerable variety throughout its tracks and has earned strong recommendations.

The base game includes 36 different tracks and was subsequently supported after launch with the paid “Be Strong” DLC. It is unclear whether DLC will continue, but we hope that more music packs will complement this fantastic rhythm game in the future.

Star Wave Review: Interstellar Dul

Starwave offers a highly compelling VR rhythm game, blending unique gameplay with a stunning Sonic Showcase.

Superhot VR

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzg7wc6mbwe

Superhot VR is one of the oldest games on this list. However, it is one of the best examples of how VR can enable a whole new gaming experience. The time that was originally adopted by flat screen games only moves when you do it in the film Shooter. Second, moving your body brings everything back to life.

It features an accessible design and a rare smoothness to find in VR. From last minute gun grabs to properly positioned knife throws, it’s extremely satisfying to go through the Superhot level. Further updates like the experimental 120FPS mode followed. Even in 2025, Superhot VR remains an important referral experience worth trying.

Superhot VR Quest Review: The Best Version of the Real Classic

When we first reviewed Superhot VR almost three years ago, we said:

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qczleqqcoye

There’s no denying that The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is one of the best campaigns available in the Quest System. That’s been the case since it was first released on Quest a few years ago. Set bars across VR Zombie Games and Medium, wrestling with horde of undead in ridiculously entertaining physics-based combat, throwing every effort into every swing and stab wound.

But this isn’t just a stupid sandbox. Saints & Thinner stuffs their actions into a complete, meaty VR campaign where they watch trek through New Orleans’ bodies. Adding human enemies, side missions and the ability to kill zombies with spoons, you’ll find one of the deepest native VR games on the market. Thanks to the indecently good port, Saints and Sinners are one of the best Meta Quest 2 games.

There were two major updates under that belt, so there was no more time to enter the Walking Dead: the Saints and the Sinners. Read The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Review in 2021! Note: This is the latest review based on The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners.

The weak

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ukwmklpkg4

Hamsa’s VR Mech Brawler Roguelike made a huge impact last year, winning the best PC VR game of 2024. The weak It is a physics-based brawler that uses arm-based movement and comic book-style presentations. This 22nd century underground loglique fighter set a new benchmark for VR arena combat.

Between stylish visuals, dirty soundscapes and unique characters, the underdog feels fresh and exciting. There have been many further updates since release, such as “Sandboxxer” using the Level Editor, but the recent “Rampage” mode has added an infinite endurance mode. More updates are currently underway, including multiplayer mode.

The weak sets new benchmarks for VR Arena combat. Our complete review:

Walk About Mini Golf

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr8w9wuc7co

Mini Golf actually can and does very well in VR. Walk About Mini Golf is all you need. This remains authentic, while accurately representing games that go beyond what is possible in real life.

This will check all boxes. It identifies physics that identify physics that are probably better than the real thing, with plenty of courses, extensive multiplayer support, different themes at each level, and, most of all, no small obstacles found on the surface of the physical course. Additionally, the game receives ongoing support from developer Mighty Coconut, with regular free and paid DLC courses added over time.

Walk About Mini Golf Review: A must-have VR worth scheduling with friends

Walkbout Mini Golf is today the PSVR 2 and is one of the essential games on any platform in VR. Our review:
