The latest patch for Elden Ring Nightreign has finally arrived. After a day’s delay due to tsunami warnings in Japan, FromSoftware officially deployed a patch 1.02 times on all platforms.
The patch release lasts approximately an hour of server maintenance, and the server goes offline.

As previously announced, update 1.02 adds official support for duo expeditions. Nightreign was designed to play with three players, but Stoft made some adjustments to accommodate solo players after launch.
The developers have heard fans request DUO, but have been working on adding it ever since. All players now have the option to start an expedition with two players, and the game balance will be automatically adjusted to accommodate the number of players in the party. Nightreign’s UI has also been changed, making it easy to communicate. The expedition type is no longer available and will be replaced by the number of players.
Another major promised addition will be featured in the Relic Effect filter screen. This includes a number of new filtering options that give you more control over the artifacts in stock. You can now filter artifacts that have multiple effects on a single condition.
The number of artifact presets you can create has also been expanded to 100. And to facilitate management of relics that you may acquire in the future, the game has made it a favorite by selling them from the rewards menu.
Among the changes in quality of life, I was caught up in the game at 1.02, as it appears first when opening all preset lists, so you can quickly see presets for the currently selected character.
The little jar bazaar and collector’s signs both have tabs! Even the random Limveld merchants have a detailed description section (items) in their shop menu. If you earn it in the Night Aspect Boss Battle, you may be happy to learn now that you can skip part of the cutscene now after you defeat the Night Road.
Finally, this update marks the arrival of a second Everdark Sovereign cycle, starting with the Everdark Sovereign version of Augur, which is currently live.
