What does the skate map look like? Skaters are not without playgrounds without playgrounds filled with ramps and rails. Therefore, you need to take a closer look at the neighborhoods that make up Sanban Stardom. Whether you’re a top or a street type skater, it will help you know what each neighborhood has for you.
The long wait times for the new skate games are almost over, but it is at least the result of skateboard games due to early access in August. There’s still time until the proper Skate 4 release date, but up until then, let’s take a closer look at the skate map and discover what the developers have been cooking after all these years.
The location of Saint Van Stardom
Skate will take place in the fictional city of Saint Van Stardom, the ever-evolving city currently made up of four different regions. M-Corp, the city’s controlling organisation, plans to make some substantial changes to the city, so stay tuned as there could be some interesting developments over the coming months.
Unlike previous games in the series, San Vanterdam is designed with verticality in mind, revealing it with new mechanics that can climb structures. Now you can easily get off the board and round the gates, walls, fences and more. You can also scale the buildings to provide access to rooftops around town.
This is the neighborhood of Saint Van Stardom:
- Brickswitch
- Garcrest Village
- Hedgemont
- Market Mile
Brickswitch
Brickswich, home to the land sharks of Saint Van Stardom, can find the city’s stadium. The location is known for its tall building, featuring an empty pool and quarter pipes once you reach the roof.
If you are skating in the sunlight at one of the ground skate parks, keep an eye on the sky as the rooftop includes a lamp that can be used to fly the tower. As you can imagine, this adds a much larger element of danger if you miss a landing, but it’s even more impressive if you can get a gap.
Garcrest Village
Tossed the crime of skateboarding at Garcrest Village. The light breaking through stained glass windows provides the perfect background for you and your companions to practice the air of Christ. There is also a parking garage in the neighborhood, with mini mega lamps on the roof that can be used to fire itself across the sky.
Hedgemont
Start your skating trip in Hedgemont, the largest region of Saint Van Stardom. This area will act as a major hub when you first start and stack up with shops, challenges and missions that will help you learn ropes. There is a skate park under a huge bridge that spans the city you can visit, and when you are ready to go ahead, head through the skateway and move to other neighborhoods.
Market Mile
If you want to break a manual record, Market Mile is filled with elevated sidewalks. It is perfect for building momentum when descending many slopes. Street skaters are delighted to see the community park heading towards the south side of the neighborhood. If you want to find some ramps, there is a traditional skate park to the west.
Skatemap Wishlist
Saint Van Stardom is an evolving city, so we hope you will reach the game of the Line. Ideally, I would like to see all three maps in the skate series in the latest entries, but that seems a bit unrealistic. I’ve seen San Vanelona and New San Vanelona (the fictional cities of Skate 1 and 2 respectively) become available as DLCs for Skate 3, so I hope the same happens again.
Below are some of the places you want to visit on the skate map.
- Art Gallery (Skate 1)
- Old Town (Skate 2)
- Mega Park (Skate 3)
Art Gallery
One of the most iconic places in Skate 1, the art gallery is an inspirational area for skaters. Not only does it feature some unique artwork to tear it, but it could have missed some hidden areas of the original game, and it can reward players if you go outside the main area. This classic location benefits greatly from the climbing mechanics in the new game, making it much easier for players to reach difficult spots.
Old Town
You’ll have a hard time finding other places on your skate. This vibrant area is a paradise for street skaters, filled with a variety of rails to test its grinding capabilities. And yes, I know that this level was originally in Skate 1, but the Skate 2 version looks very good in our eyes, so that’s what we go with.
Megapark
Arguably the most legendary place in the entire series, Mega Park can easily build a ton of momentum that can be used to get an obscene score. Skating is known for its realistic approach to sports, but Megaparks throw it all out of the window and let it fly through the air like a majestic eagle. There’s a reason players flock to this map in Skate 3. There is no other place where you can break the movement as you can at Megapark.
Everything you need to know about skatemap, but stay tuned as more additions are expected as the game approaches its full release date. While you’re here, be sure to read about upcoming games coming in 2026 and beyond. Also, if you’re looking for another skateboarding experience, there’s a list of great multiplayer games, such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4.
