What can you expect from the new one? nvidia geforce RTX 5070 Super specification? Nvidia may not have officially announced this gaming GPU yet, but some leaks have already shown that it will offer a solid upgrade to the existing RTX 5070. Not only is it capable of more rendering power to improve game performance, it is rumored to have over 50% of memory.
The latter, in my test of my original RTX 5070 review, VRAM was not enough, so after enabling advanced raytracing features in some of the latest games, I simply revealed a fallen card, which makes this Nvidia GPU more competitive. In comparison, the competing AMD Radeon RX 9070 is more expensive when it comes to actual pricing, but is generally more powerful, even if you can’t deal with Doom the Dark Ages Path tracking.
Estimates for the RTX 5070 Super Specification
This is the best estimate for the RTX 5080 SuperSpec based on leaks and speculation, as there has been no official announcement.

The first glimpse of the RTX 5070 Super Spec list came from the usual, often reliable technology leak kopite7kimi in a post on X (formerly Twitter). So, keep in mind that Nvidia hasn’t announced anything officially about this GPU, but the Kopite7kimi is taking great shape for the NVIDIA leak, including reducing the RTX 5060 TI, 5060 and 5050 specs.
Based on this leak, it appears that the new RTX 5070 Super is set up to use a 3GB GDDR7 memory chip instead of the 2GB memory chip used in the current RTX 5070. This will increase NVIDIA from 12GB to 18GB without expanding the width of the memory interface. According to the leak, this RTX 5070 Super VRAM runs at the same 28Gbps speed as the current 5070’s memory, with a total memory bandwidth of 672GB/s.
However, unlike the RTX 5080 Super, the RTX 5070 Super also appears to be boosting GPU rendering performance. NVIDIA allows for some of the currently disabled GB205 chips on the standard RTX 5070.
His latest leak suggests that the RTX 5070 Super has 6,400 CUDA cores instead of the standard RTX 5070’s 6,144, and 50 NVIDIA Streaming Multiprocessors (SMS) enabled. In that case, there are also 50 RT cores for ray tracing and 200 tensor cores for AI work such as NVIDIA DLSS.
With 18GB of VRAM at your disposal, the RTX 5070 Super has more memory than the more expensive RTX 5080, not just the RTX 5070 Ti. Not all games require more than 12GB of VRAM, but we found that the lack of memory on the RTX 5070 saturation of memory with Indiana Jones on a massive scale. With 18GB of memory, these issues disappear.
RTX 5070 Super Price Estimate
Our best estimate for the RTX 5070 Super Price is $549.99 based on leaks and speculation, as there has been no official announcement. When Nvidia launched the RTX 4070 Super, it was $599.99 for the same price as the original 4070, and the price of the 4070 fell to $549.99, with a similar strategy expected here.
The main issue with the RTX 5070 when competing with the Radeon RX 9070, and even the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is a lack of memory to some extent. If Nvidia can pull out a 18GB card with more rendering power at the same price of $549.99, it would be a winner and perhaps push the price down on the AMD Radeon RX 9070.
A recent leak from YouTuber Tech Leaker Moore’s law suggests that while the RTX 5080 is expected to be scrapped to make way for the RTX 5080 supermarket, there is no such plan for the RTX 5070.
RTX 5070 Super Launch Window Estimate
The best estimate for the RTX 5070 Super Launch Window is in Q2 2025. This means the period from October to December 2025, based on leaks and speculation, as there has not been an official announcement.
Unlike the RTX 5080 Super, which says Moore’s law is dead, it says it may not come out until 2026. With the possibility of using 36Gbps VRAM, the RTX 5070 Super seems to stick to the same 28Gbps GDDR7 memory speeds from its predecessor. If these rumors are true, the RTX 5070 Super could be out in time for the 2025 holiday season.
