How does Marvel Rival Rank work? It’s not enough to jump on a shooter for a casual experience, and in the end, the urge to jump into a more competitive ocean becomes too big. Like many other games, Marvel Rivals offers rewards specific to ranked modes and tempts players to test the Mettle.

So, if you’re struggling to improve your gameplay with your favorite Marvel Rival Tierlist and Marvel Rival Characters, now is the time to jump on the biggest challenges of multiplayer games. Below you can find all the ranks of Marvel Rivals, how competitive mode works, and skins from Free Marvel Rivals that you can earn by climbing the ladder.

All Marvel rivals are ranked in order

The nine Marvel rival ranks are as follows:

  • Bronze (Tier III-I)
  • Silver (Tier III-I)
  • Gold (Tier III-I)
  • Platinum (Tier III-I)
  • Diamond (Tier III-I)
  • Grandmaster (Tier III-I)
  • Celestial (Tier III-I)
  • Forever
  • Above all

Each rank up has three layers. Each tier requires 100 ranked points to promote the past (300 points to make a full-rank jump). Once you reach Celestial, simply keep the points you earned. The top 500 players at the end of the season will be awarded the rank above all else. This is a concept that many Overwatch 2 players know well.

Marvel rivals are ranked in distribution

Rank distribution is an important tool when measuring performance compared to the rest of the ranked masses. Keep in mind that despite continuing to update this section, the distribution evolves throughout the season.

The rank distribution of Marvel rivals for July 2025 is as follows:

  • bronze: 25.4%
  • silver: 10.4%
  • gold: 12.6%
  • platinum: 13.5%
  • diamond: 15.1%
  • Grandmaster: 14.7%
  • Celestial: 6.5%
  • Forever and Above all: 0.1%

Marvel Rival Rank: Distribution of Ranked Population Season 1.5

At the end of Season 1.5, our rival developers treated us to the official distribution chart. Players under 5 matches were excluded in Comp, reducing the overwhelming weight of players placed on bronze after dipping their toes into rank. The numbers above are the best outside of NetEase, but it’s worth remembering that the true ranking curve is much smoother.

Marvel Rivals’ competitive mode explained

The ranked mode in Marvel Rivals takes core gameplay elements found in QuickPlay, but adds some additional rules. You must reach level 10 before starting competitive play.

Most of these ranked close e-orders are tied to High Elo Play, but everyone can benefit from the Chrono Shield system. If you go on a losing streak, you’ll likely get a Chrono Shield. This will prevent you from being demoted, but you will need to recharge it once you use it. The higher your rank, the more losses you need to regain your demolition shield. This is a rather smooth system that offers some security when flip-flops between victory and loss in the current tier.

Regarding the high ELO rule mentioned above, note that if you are able to reach Celestial, the rank points begin to collapse after the regular points do not line up for a certain amount of time. Furthermore, as soon as you hit Diamond III, your team is given the ability to ban each game. This prevents the most OP picks in Meta from running riots per game, ensuring there is a hero pool that is not as shallow as a child’s paddling pool.

It should also be noted that there are limitations on who can line up based on rank disparities. Players below the money can team up with friends. However, it must be within the ranked range of three divisions, from Gold I to Celestial bodies. Finally, Players In Eternity or one or more players can team up with Celestial II players within 200 points, but can only be queued as part of a solo or duo.

Marvel Rival Rank Reward S0: Moon Night's Golden Moonlight Skin

Season 3 Rank Rewards introduces nameplate frames into the mix, starting with platinum. Season 0 gave Moon Night a golden moonlight skin. The first half of Season 1 gave away the skin of an invisible woman with a bloody shield, while Season 1.5 brought the skin of a human torch of bloody flames. Season 2 provided the Golden Diamond Emma Frost Skin, while Season 2.5 gave the Golden Ultron Ultron Skin.

And that’s all you need to know about the ranks of Marvel rivals, how competitive play works, and how you can earn money by stacking up ladders and bringing them in this season. Before you go, check the latest Marvel Rivals codes and double check if Marvel Rivals Crossplay is available to you and your ranked buddy.
