How do you get a Silent Hill F Sacred Sword? Once you’ve completed Silent Hill F for the first time, there’s still a lot to do. In the new Game Plus mode of Silent Hill F, new items, new areas and new endings unlock, almost everything is related to the sacred sword.
After a full completion experience, if you want to get all of the Silent Hill F endings, you will need to get the sacred sword at least twice. Follow the instructions below to unlock, find and purify your special Silent Hill F weapon. This should be done in at least one playthrough of a horror game.
How to get the sacred sword in Silent Hill F
To get the sacred sword in the new game plus, you must first find five important items and provide them to the five Jizo statues. Jizo statues are displayed in normal mode, but you cannot communicate until you have something to offer. The five items are:
- Faded bride doll
- Rusty flask
- Broken Japanese Getta Sandals
- Cracked hibachi brazier
- Dad’s old knife
Faded bride doll
Faded bride dolls are located very early in the game before they completely descended the mountains to ebisugaoka. The Eastern House is now open to you. Enter the second floor where you need to get the treasure hunting game key. Use the keys to go back downstairs and use it in the treasure chest in the kitchen to reveal the doll.
I leave the dolls in stock and head south. Turn left at the first available opportunity and you will find the first Jizo Shrine sitting on the other side of the mailbox. We will interact with it and provide the doll.
Rusty flask
The rusty flask is located in front of the Cherry Blossom Family Shrine, north of the map. You can pick this up on the way to Rinko’s house with Shu.
To find Jizo Shrine, go back south and take the first left. Turn left again and the shrine becomes a small garden behind the building.
Broken Japanese Getta Sandals
Broken getta sandals are available before you enter middle school. As you approach the school, you will return to the southernmost path. The sandals are located just in front of the blockage.
The Jizo Shrine for this item is located on the other side of the blockage. That means you need to go a long way. To the left is a small house with a path, and at the end there is a shrine.
Cracked hibachi brazier
If you go to Shu’s house for your current purpose, you will get the fourth item, the cracked hibachi brazier. Behind Shu’s house and the gentleman runs down the right side of the shed on the ground.
Go back along the path west of Shu’s house until you can no longer see the stairs on the right. Climb the stairs and find this Jizo shrine.
Dad’s old knife
Himanko’s dad’s knife remains in the tree east of Shu’s house, but can only be obtained when his current purpose is “down the mountains and heads to the island’s residence.”
This one Jizo shrine is close. Return from where you found the knife and turn left as soon as possible. The shrine is right in front of you.
It is worth noting that all of these items remain in stock from one new game and will be stored in other games until they are offered at the shrine.
The sacred sword place
After creating all five offerings, the Holy Sword is now available in Sulty Year Scedar. When you approach the tree, a cutscene unfolds, and when the sword is finished you will automatically give it a sword.
That being said, if you’re trying to get a bad outcome, it’s best not to go to the trees at all. If you are triggering a cutscene, you need to cleanse the sword to get a bad ending. More details are below.
How to Purify the Sacred Sword
If you accidentally pick up a sacred sword and want to unlock a bad ending, or you are trying to unlock a true ending that requires purification of the sword, this can only be done in the main hall of a dark shrine while chasing the Fox Mask.
To purify the sword, you need to complete the crimson water puzzle that appears in areas specific to NG+ saving. Main Hall – Come here for “post-fox mask tracking” purposes by going down the southeast stairs from the second floor. This is hidden behind a fragile wall.
Once inside the new Hermitage in the Crimson Water area, head to the stones in the oval area north of the map and interact with them. I don’t know if I can run the puzzle without triggering it first, so it’s best to be safe. Now you need to interact with the three bells in time for sporadic hearing hints that sound like trees.
First, go back to the bridge and turn left. Follow the path until you reach the building. The first bell is on the back balcony, but do not ring until you hear an audible signal. Next, run as fast as possible to the place where you interacted with the stone. The second bell hangs from the tree here. After hearing the tone, it will ring as soon as possible. Finally, you return to the bridge and turn right with another bell hanging from the tree on your left. It will sound this in time with the next wooden cracking sound. If you do this correctly, the water will turn deep red.
We don’t actually cleanse the sword here. This is done at ebisugaoka, behind Shu’s house, where deep red water now fills the stone container. I have marked the location on the map above. Conversing with water to cleanse the sword.
Once it’s all done, the Silent Hill F Sacred Sword is now yours, purified or not.
