How do you defeat Trobbio in Hollow Knight Silksong? It’s not too dramatic when it comes to the theatres. GlitterbugTrobbio certainly knows how to host a killer show. Get ready to meet the best Silkson characters without a doubt.
He’s an optional encounter in Hollow Night Silk Songs, but Trobubio is one of the bosses in Silk Songs who forget you’re not a tango. Citadel’s top performers tend to like fireworks, bringing glamour and charm on equal scales to combat him. In return for Trobbio awards and rewards, you’ll get some very useful silk song tools that can help your Hornets as you travel through Falroom. Below we explain where to find Trobbio and the true strategies that have been tried for both encounters.
Where to find Trovio in Silkson
Trobbio can be found in the whispering stage. He appears to be accessible from the choir room, but to unlock the shortcut, he must first go through the safe. Don’t worry, you don’t need to fight Trobubio before doing so.
A second encounter with this diva, Trobbio cannot cause it until she reaches Silksong Act 3 and embraces the pain, anguish and miserable quest of Songclave’s Wish Board. Once again, you have to go on stage.

How to defeat Trobbio
When you first face Trobbio, there are plenty of great tools that take place during Act 2 and can be used to dodge him. In the video above, both perform a loadout consisting of poisoned stings and flea brewing with a constantly useful polip pouch. Trobbio likes to roam a lot, so poison clouds from flea brewing help to ensure he’s always doing damage. The enhanced movement and speed of attack from the beer itself are also convenient. Because there are many opportunities to hit the needle.
Silk Storms can be useful for reasons that we can get in quickly, but ultimately we recommend keeping your silk for healing. Other tools available at this point that are suitable for this fight include a destroyed mask for more effective health, a spool extender to hold more silk, and a magnetite dice for the opportunity to completely disable damage.
Trobbio utilizes a mixture of fireworks-based attacks in his kit. One of the most common movements you see is the prosperity of fireworks scattered throughout the arena. These are safe at first, but they will explode after a short delay so they pilot them.
Another Trobubio ability you often need to navigate is the fireworks ball he bounces back. Trobbio discards three of these at once, causing damage not only to a direct impact, but also after the smoke marks solidifies into the beam. If these appear to land in a nasty position on the Hornet, try them out with your needle or silk storm before starting to smoke.
Trobbio can also dig underneath the stage and pop up before starting a fresh artistic attack. This is a great opportunity to get a hit of 1 or 2 inches.
However, it is not always Trobubio that appears through the trap door. He can instead throw away three more firework balls before making his epic reenactment.
Trobbio occasionally covers the arena and offers ample opportunity to get a rise of one or two inches. Be careful as he drops vertically at the end of the movement or launches a spinning attack.
He mainly uses tools, but Trobbio himself sometimes attacks Hornet. He can begin tornado movement while on the ground, moving horizontally across the arena or into the air.
In Spin’s conclusion, Trobbio fires two small tornadoes that arc away from their current position. The best way to deal with this is to float above Trobbio as soon as he is on the ground. This not only allows you to dodge a complete attack, but also gives him a nice pogo hit in the process. Your best opportunity to heal comes during this attack. As soon as the tornado is fired, they remain on top of the trombio and tie it up.
In Phase 2, Trobbio introduces a new move. Now, the smoke plume erupts from the trapdoor sequence before solidifying as a beam after a short delay. I’ll probably tank the hits so I’ll do my best to avoid turning the corner.
Throughout the battle, you will find yourself being forced by a vast amount of AOE abilities. Your focus should be on finding a safe place first before you bring your attention to the boss yourself. You’re free to use your stab wound when you’re less likely to get a needle attack in Phase 2, as Trobbio spends plenty of time robbing the arena. Try to maintain as much control as possible in the trajectory of his fireworks ball, and ultimately you’ll be on top.

How to beat a tormented Trobbio
Most of the time, tormented Trobbios take advantage of the same move set as the previous version you fought. But he has a new trick on his sleeve that you have to be careful of. The fight is also much faster, making it a chaotic and flashy match. So you’ll need to bring some new tools to the party.
In Round 2, he was trapped in the architect’s coat of arms, opening up the means of carrying three offensive tools: cogfly, slowing, and tack. Cogflies is incredible to ensure that the boss is constantly taking damage, even when Hornet is cornered by his attacks. The little arena we are fighting for gives something worth the bouncing ring. Meanwhile, Trobbio spends plenty of time on the floor, making the tack an amazing option. Cogheels is good here too. Of course you’ll want to lock your Polip pouch for those poison ticks.
As before, I use a broken mask and magnetite dice, but by this point I also got a reserve bind tool. This ensures that there is always enough silk for emergency healing and charging the tool. Everything else is optional. We simply slapped the yellow tool we were holding in our hands that could provide some combat value.
Now derived, Trobbio wants to go out with a real bang, adding extra explosive properties to some of his core abilities. His spin now left the trail behind it, exploded after a short delay. When Trobbio uses the diagonal version of the dash, he returns horizontally in the direction he first descends when he reaches the ground.
There are two ways to dodge this. Once he starts spinning, you can quickly dash under him, towards the side he started (as in the photo above). Alternatively, a double jump and float are set to land on top of the point trobubio.
Tornados Trobbio also quickly closes the gap with him as soon as he escapes the tornado, leaving behind an ignition trail that explodes from the bottom.
It’s also difficult to avoid Trobbio’s fireworks balls. Currently, they not only fire in two directions, but also randomly protrude in a “+” or “x” shape. Again, you’ll have the best chance to knock the ball from the center of the stage before you start smoking, giving you the best chance to avoid damage.
Finally, Trobbio’s new attack sees him launching an ignition trail from himself, in the form of a “+” or “X.” If you use the latter, this is a good opportunity to get upwards.
There’s a lot going on visually during the tormented battle of Trobubio, and it can be difficult to track everything happening on the screen. There are a lot of RNG involved in his attack pattern, so be prepared to take damage at some point. Until you can get the feel of the fight, you will no longer be able to get many needle hits, and it will return to the recommendation that it will bring us a reserve binding. The fight is tough, but rather short with our loadout, so there’s no need to heal multiple times overall.
Loading tacks on the floor, maintaining uptime, and using throwing rings when trapped from Trobubio will help you pass this ordeal quickly. However, it is recommended to keep as many tool payloads as possible up to phase 2. It becomes even more difficult to hit the needle here.
And that’s how you can beat Trobubio in Hollow Knight Silk Songs. When you defeat him for the first time, the Cromirror tool is netted, and then upgraded to Cromirror after the tormented Trobio is packed.
