Why Erixholm: Stolen Dreams Could Be the Outstanding Stealth Experience of 2025
SHARE

IF 2025 was everything. It is a wild ride for the most unexpected critical (and commercial hits), from independent studios and smaller studios. The size and size of the team plays the second fiddle to the overwhelming and overwhelming nature of the idea. During turn-based RPGs that give names like Final Fantasy Run for that money, give open world RPG Elder’s scroll Some competition, days, and whatever the hell is, a rogue light puzzle Shujinkou So this was a year full of incredible ideas and was carried out in ways that were unimaginable.

This naturally brings us to the River Endgame. Erixholm: A stolen dream. From the beginning, the premise was already intriguing. A gorgeous film science isometric perspective, an intriguing but familiar, good looking environment (based on 1900s Scandinavia), a stealth mechanism, with a “budget price” of $39.99? Please sign up with me several times. And there are some actual practices that can be persistent or in the worst case scenarios. Erixholm It’s a unique, fantastic journey that will keep you hooked.

“The atmosphere is honestly associated with it. Disgrace At first, despite high interests, you should not expect a large-scale pursuit sequence or go to a murder. This is a more systematic action adventure. It’s a skillful pacing that balances between stealth and puzzle solved. ”

The story, which takes place in a nominal city, revolves around Hannah and her brother, Herman. The latter is strangely missing, and things get even more complicated when the police show up, worrying that this might make Hannah. Instead of going to the question, she decided that the best thing to do was to flee and lead in a wild geese chase across the city and its various boroughs. As you can hear, our exposure to the world, and where our brothers live, reveals how terrible the condition is.

The disease known as the Heartpox perpetuates the city, robbing the pier waiting (and corrupting) for it. The newly elected mayor is known to have won the race rather than the popularity contest. The Industrial Revolution impacted many citizens, and the oppressed were effectively merciless with the police when they were not trying to feed their children or make enough changes for the money. It is a precarious situation, and Hannah frequently appears in conversation as she walks, sneaks up, and sprints across the rooftop, through the warehouse, and into the cable car. Given their general status in society, cooperation with authorities does not guarantee personal safety.

Of course, the question arises from the beginning. Why are the police looking for Herman? Why are they determined to bring Hannah in, unfold it all and every way, stop the bridge and even stop the freight train to find her? It’s one of the driving mystery as she tries to find Herman and understand what’s going on.

The atmosphere is honestly associated Disgrace At first, despite high interests, you should not expect a large-scale pursuit sequence or go to a murder. This is a more systematic action adventure. It’s a skillful pacing that balances between stealth and puzzle solved. Stealth is something to be careful about. Once caught, it automatically fails and Hannah returns to one of the many generous checkpoints to try again. Rather than working inside a sandbox, you are really looking for the right solution to get past security guards undetected.

You might think that this is all about the fact that Hannah can only sprint or sneak, coupled with the relatively unshiny difficulty and mechanisms at an early stage. Erixholm It must be provided. And some really gorgeous scenery (consistent performance and 1440p resolution at maximum settings) that the camera’s perspective always does an amazing job highlighting. Luckily, this is just an appetizer, and is supported by some strong voice acting and dialogue, even if Hannah’s inner hint voice comes out a little more often. Soon, engage in situations that require distracting security guards, using moving cargo to sneak into the past, manipulating machines and creating enough noise to cross some of the noisy surface.

“Apart from listening to past security guards and listening conversations, there’s nothing else the world has to offer beyond lavish views and collectibles. The text, flyers and ads invite comments from the protagonist about a particular character and occurrence, providing even more background on Erixholm and his current state.”

Entering Chapter 2, Hanna gets a blooddart gun to put the guards to sleep (though this must be done behind the cover as it may look around and raise the alarm). You can drag shaking enemies around. This will appear further in later chapters when extra weight is needed. And it was a while back before exploring abandoned mines, kickstarting machines, or reading the marks to try and find the right wooden plank.

Controlling multiple characters really causes the game to start gearing. Alba, the leader of a thief gang with exceptional influence in the district, takes part in the fight and brings her own unique skills to the forefront. Not only can she climb the pipes, she can also break the light bulb and throw stones, causing the guard to look away for precious few seconds. Working with Hannah, she can create a shadowy area that the latter can use to put the enemy to sleep without resorting to relying on them.

I was initially worried that I wouldn’t be able to move both characters when the situation requested, but there are very few instances like that. These situations, combined with all environmental mechanics so far, help to highlight them Erixholm The stealth brand is baffled. It may not be something you’ve seen before, but it runs incredibly well (and that’s before the third playable character joins the mix).

Apart from acquiring past security guards and listening to conversations, there is nothing else the world has to offer beyond gorgeous views and collectibles. The characters, flyers and ads invite comments from the hero about a particular character and occurrence, providing more background on Erixholm and its current state. The main plot and characters are what really drive you forward, along with new environments and challenges. So it means limited interactivity and freedom in an environment that goes beyond your purpose.

“As long as it can sometimes feel safe, it’s supported by a well-balanced character with a stellar art direction, a balanced character with strong audio acting, a healthy amount of diversity, robust stealth, and a gorgeous environment with puzzles that require timing and cohesion.”

At least all the characters are pretty well developed. Even the guards patrol around them have a distinctive personality, whether they are superstitions about the mythical women of the mountains, or just wandering around to catch a single girl, whether they are buds or not. Unfortunately, their AI doesn’t aim for anything more than that. Metal Gear Solid 1-Level “What was that noise?” You can throw infinitely rocks at the guards to distract him, and he never considers investigating their sources.

Similarly, there is a field of vision, but it takes a few seconds before someone really registers to sneak up and catch them. When it comes to gameplay, it makes sense and can create very tense moments, but in terms of storyline, raising the alarm right away or investigating it further can dampen some of the immersion.

Erixholm It also focuses on collecting notes for some puzzles. It doesn’t happen frequently, but if it is done you will need to cycle through the inventory and find relevant notes. You’d prefer the option to skip to the latest one or move on to the end soon.

It doesn’t give the best stealth titles competition in the emerging gameplay sector, Erixholm: A stolen dream It’s still a big effort. Although sometimes it can feel safe, it is supported by a well-balanced character with a stellar art direction, balanced characters with strong audio acting, healthy amounts of diversity, robust stealth, and a gorgeous environment with puzzles that require timing and cohesion. It’s yet another surprise in a year full of them, and it’s a truly fun game in itself.
