I‘I saw a lot of people destiny There was no expansion that had little faith in the entry of fans and non-fans; The edge of destiny. As soon as the report appears Final shape There was a low performance layoff, but that was clear Destiny 2 For a long time, there hasn’t been an extension of the same scale. The obvious thing before launch was that it wasn’t doing the best job of actually building the hype (except for that one Dev Insights video), but Bungie can pull it apart and surprise us all (and vice versa).
After completing some of the legendary campaign solos, some side quests, and some new 3-player activities, The edge of destiny Above average. “Fine” in the most charitable sense possible. There are some amazing standouts. I’m excited about where the story moves on, but its new mechanics, the lack of content in some important areas, and it really brings it down even more. If the episode feels like a glorious season, then this is shy about the glorious episode, and yet I am divided.
The story of The edge of destiny Seeing the Guardian sent to Kepler in response to SOS, they encounter the fanatic part of the Eliksni House of Exile, led by Archon Levazsk. The idiosyncraticity appears to be on the verge of disrupting and wiping the Sol system. And Aion, a group of human researchers who effectively avoided collapse, is (but not as well as combat-savvy as newborns, for example).

“It’s not irreparably bad and I don’t question my existence Osiris’ Curse or Warmind. Despite comparison with Iron rise As for length, the campaign is packed with a lot of side quests. But Kepler as a destination is not exciting enough. ”
There is also Roddy who is completely lacking in depth and is trying to understand his presence. There’s a lot going on, but it’s due to the story team, which intrigues everything and slowly peels off the mystery surrounding singularity. Make the player care about what happens afterwards Final shapeit’s not easy, especially when you’re about to kickstart a new saga. Even if you go back to Dreadnought and provide some great plot points, the episode is proof of this. Still, I wanted to know what would happen next. To see if the “Guardian Makes Your Destiny” moniker is really held (spoiler: That’s complicated).
The powerful traits are closely related to excellent audio performance, and on the whole, everyone knocks it out of the park. Filled as Ikora, Debra Wilson takes some time to get used to, but her performance at some point in the final mission is one of the franchise’s finest. Maggie Robertson is also great as an orrin that vibrates between lo-a-scrambled eggs and unintentionally grinding. Todd Harborcorn is, as usual, fantastic as a castaway.
Still, they are all pale compared to Brian Villarobos as Roddy. Without going into spoilers, he navigates brilliantly from the official sound, Adorable He’s a nerd and friendly to making a complete crash out, like everyone in his situation. He is the only person who can escape by saying that the Guardians and everyone else in the future have a terrible fashion sense about it.
So, with all this praise for what the actors of the story and voice actors have accomplished, it makes me sad that the gameplay is unbearable. It’s not irreparably bad and doesn’t make me wonder about my existence Osiris’ Curse or Warmind. Despite comparison with Iron rise As for length, the campaign is packed with a lot of side quests.
But Kepler as a destination is not exciting enough. There’s no need to give me a massive environment to cross like an Encore (the Encore gave me enough) or with a pale heart, the art team’s prowess is still on display in important places. How to establish a shot of a naval airline on a distant plain? The singularity of all that glory? Top mark. However, the environment itself feels sloppy and ultimately dull. I’ve seen comparisons with intertwined coasts, Titans and Venus, and although it’s completely valid, even with a decent flow, Kepler rarely really draws me in on a gameplay level.
“The Sieve is a new three-player activity and is fortunately fun. Despite enveloping Kepler’s small reuse section, it offers some neat boss fights, decent objective diversity, and powerful use of material.
With that in mind, the campaign mission cuts out the work that is trying to impress me. This takes me to Matterspark, my new human enemy. Ah, there’s a void cannon that teleports after connecting all the nodes (sometimes you need to shoot to point it correctly) and mattermmorph, which allows you to create a platform from the environment and pause the enemies. But Matterspark really pushed me towards the wall, not just when navigating the environment. It was a bit clunky at first, and sometimes a little too sensitive to overcorrection, causing me to die, and its on-screen effects are annoying and terrible. I was also not a fan of the strange clipping that occurred while navigating Kepler, nor was I a nauseous spinning fan when I touched the mouse while interacting with the Matter Spark node.
It’s fine to include it in some puzzles and boss fights, just as Bungee is trying to bring the Batmobile to one from Arkham Knight. While the true end of Sol System is at stake, in the finale with Matterspark Shenanigans, I wanted Bungie to simply read the room and give him a regular boss fight. Without these gimmicks, I felt that the encounter between enemy density and the legendary difficulties with ban was solid.
There’s nothing I’ve never seen before when it comes to breaking the shield generator, inserting balls, depositing moats, “dismantling the mine, yes?” but overall it’s decent with action. Missions and side quests involve revisiting many of the same locations. And I don’t lightly splash the relocator or the mattermorph, but when used with Matter Spark it only causes exploration in later matches, so why was the Bungee bothered me.
And that’s more or less an extension. There are no new strike van maps. This is the season for reclamation, but there are no seasonal activities for the new six. Exotics are also quite minimal. Three weapons (4, counting raids) and three armor pieces are not enough. I really like the gimmicks of the third iteration, and while the Hellion is not surprising, it’s decent for the world’s layers and the decline in difficulties. Buildcraft has an overhaul, and I’ll go into this, but that’s part of the free update. They’re intertwined as if there might be The edge of destiny Release, it is not available only to the expansion owner.
Sieve is a new three-player activity and fortunately it’s fun. Despite covering the small reuse section of Kepler, it offers some neat boss fights, decent objective diversity, and a powerful use of Matterspark. Above all, it is repeatable…until time runs out. Yes, that’s a time limit, and I’m not sure if Bungee wanted to replicate Destiny 1 Get on my nerves as the public event feels so low and the frequency of its availability is very low. It’s 2025 The edge of destiny, And I have a much more interesting game that’s wasted with steam. Let them perform at random whenever they want to scream loudly.
“I can’t completely recommend it The edge of destinybut only the most hardcore unless you like characters and lore Destiny 2 Players must apply. The amount of content, some presentation elements, performance, and raids can provide adequate nutrition for some, but for others it’s just above average. ”
About Armor 3.0 and the booty layer – I don’t hate it completely, but the impact on buildcraft is not the smallest jackpot I’d expected. The new set bonus also feels grossly boring, except that it gives damage resistance to the killing of shotguns, swords and bows, and is healed (and appears to be the most sick) with the killing of just-drawn weapons. Everything else is straight infusion fuel. I like the portal offering more detailed options for difficulty, and can balance negative and positive modifiers to get a higher output drop.
But if I can increase the power of my activity beyond my current level, why is the lasting minus 50 delta between me and my enemy combatants the most difficult? Why do you crush your Tier 5 armor and get all of these bonuses over 100 with new stats at a permanent disadvantage? I’m everything for this season’s power grind and how much more it is to get a set bonus with the archetype and stats of the armor of your choice in your chosen tier. So why are all the other modifiers especially placed?
I’m also not a fan of that narrow vertex section in terms of activity. Also, a lot of really exciting booty like the rocket pulse rifle relies on crushing these old exotic missions instead of the legendary campaign? Where is the heavy crossbow and bungee? Spreadshot Hand Cannon and a precision bow frame? I didn’t even know about the Ribbontail, a strand trace rifle, looking up at it. Where is the ribbon tail and bungee? !
On the bright side, the permanent raids of the desert are in good condition, and this appears to be given to Bungee at this point, outside of the roots of the nightmare. Even if I felt it was missing from other encounters and puzzle perspectives, I enjoyed the nonlinear nature and focused on the boss. Thankfully, there’s no Matterspark nonsense, so I shouldn’t be too mad. But if you’re not a fan of DPS Check, it’s enough to say that the damage feels permanent.
I can’t completely recommend it The edge of destinybut only the most hardcore unless you like characters and lore Destiny 2 Players must apply. The amount of content, some presentation elements, performance, and raids may provide adequate nutrition for some, but for others it’s just above average.
