Bully 2 – What the Hell Happened to it?

wHen, you think of a rock star game, two titles come to mind. First and foremost, grand theft autobecause it is one of the most anticipated games of all time – Grand Theft Auto 6 – Arrived next May with unrealistic hype. Then there Red Dead Repaymentor rather, a sequel that began in 2018 and is one of the best games ever made. Many of us are pondering when we are getting upgrades for the current generation. We are probably rock stars in the middle of this generation. Certainly it will never come next? But I’m off track.

It’s easy to forget that it has worked over several different IPs over decades and spread across multiple studios, one of which is Bully. About two years later, the most notable update released in 2006 for the PS2 before it was released on Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PC was the December 2016 mobile release. Midnight Club, Manhunt and black.

So when reports came up in 2018 about a potential sequel to development, it’s all strangers. No details emerged about one report from a Rockstar New England employee who claimed the project was cancelled, as well as some further assumptions. Again, it makes sense that no one really notices Red Dead Redemption 2 My fever was the highest ever. However, those rumors never stopped, and as the years went by GTA 6 Announcement, many of us were simply pondering.

But finally, it appears that Rockstar Games co-founder and former headwriter/president Dan Hauser is offering some clarity. Talked to IGN at La Comic Con and he was asked why there was a sequel Bully It never happened. He answered in perhaps the most concise yet vague way:

“I think there’s a bandwidth issue. You know, if you have a small lead creative team and a small senior leadership crew, you can’t do all the projects you need.

“Bandwidth Issues” and “Small Lead Creative Team” could refer to the first 2008 rock star Bully It was launched, right? Instead of Rockstar North, I handled it grand theft auto and Red Dead Repayment Series (without a small amount of help from other studios around the world), it was Rockstar Vancouver at the helm. The developer was also known for his work Mac Spain 3 And in 2012 it merged with Rockstart Ronto. The latter worked last Red Dead Redemption 2so it’s safe to assume that it’s also supporting it. Grand Theft Auto 6.

Anyway, the point of Houser’s statement shows that Rockstar only focused on two projects at a time. Considering that it started work Grand Theft Auto 5 Since 2008 Red Dead Redemption 2 In 2010 (though the internal pitch started when the first title was still in work), it makes sense. The pure range of both titles means decks with all hands and potential Bully 2 Do not fall on the roadside or start developing at all. right?

This is where things get complicated. In October 2019, VGC reported that the sequel was in development for 18 months prior to the cancellation. Hauser is said to have written a rough script around 2008, and Jimmy stays at his stepfather’s house for the summer. The previous rumors showed step ceiling as an adversary, but the “university professor” casting call could have surpassed Breworth Academy, although the Rockstar appears to have been undecided about that aspect.

The team is said to have worked on “small slices” with the Rage Engine from 2010 to 2013 for about 18 months, but production clearly appears to have been “insanity.” As one source said, “It existed, it was playable and it was a shame that it never got off the ground.”

Bully

You’ll think it’s the end, but it seems that Rockstar has clearly gotten another sequel. Insider Tez2 said it’s working on Bully 2 Until 2017, development was stopped and ended. Red Dead Redemption 2. Pre-production of Grand Theft Auto 6 It was also said to be ongoing and wanted to increase things. As far as you think this is the end, it was obviously not.

In December 2021, another rather reliable insider, Tom Henderson, revealed it. Bully 2 “It was expected that potential surprises at the Game Awards would be revealed,” he said, adding that “some people have been shown hinted at making clear soon.” The information was “a bit blurry,” but he said “some people” reportedly saw a playable version of the title before the event, and that it was not a “canned version.”

“There was definitely something that we’re going to do in the series, so it was worth reporting,” Henderson said. He “still waits” for the belief that something is going on in February 2022, but aside from the original that was rated in Taiwan for the Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC last year, that wasn’t the case. It’s not even announcing a remaster of the current platform or an original upgrade.

The obvious theory – and this is only the actual theory at this point given how effectively the updates were exhausted – of this assumption version Bully 2this was different from what Hauser directed, and therefore started and stopped. Grand Theft Auto 6. In the past, there have been rumors of development issues, including developments that were allegedly rebooted in 2020 after Hauser left. perhaps Bully 2 While still in the pre-production phase, Rockstar wasn’t keen to cancel it all out, it has realized that it will require more resources by the end of 2021.

Bully

Since then, we have queued the project to hold on ice and have not updated internally since. Grand Theft Auto 6. All Hype and Expectations – Analysts like DFC Intelligence expect $3.2 billion in revenue in the first year, so Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick calls it “one of the biggest entertainment launches not just for games, but all media.”

For all intents and purposes, Bully 2 It was working on it in the early 2010s. Maybe the current Rockstar is thinking of an original remaster or upgrade and considering an upgrade to assess interest (and therefore last year’s rating). Recently, there have also been rumors of an upgrade for the current generation. Red Dead Redemption 2marking the franchise’s debut on the Nintendo Switch 2, but they never came to fruition either. And once again, it helps Rockstar releases, so I can’t help but think that it’s because Rockstar doesn’t really spare people. Grand Theft Auto 6.

Whether it’s the right phone or not depends on who you ask. You probably don’t know the true scale of it after its release or until all the problems it faced. Anyway, it’s a shame that the fans enjoyed it Bully And you have to dabble in this universe, where the Rockstar’s open world prowess was on display in a unique, loving way, and wait to see how long you know for follow-up. Never say it, but at this point you need to wonder if it would make more sense to outsource a sequel to another studio.
