Gearbox has released major updates Borderland 4This time we will focus on further stability improvements, bringing fan-requested features to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. As part of the update, the console player will ultimately have a field for the view slider. The studio warns that increasing the FOV on the console can reduce performance, but also points out that the vehicle FOV settings for both players in split screen mode will change.

The update also points out that it addresses a variety of instances where frame rates are low, FPS hitches and games crash. In addition to this, the animation of the characters has also seen some updates to make them more perform. In addition to the Xbox Series X/S version, rare cross-play related bugs that can cause endless loading screens have also been addressed.

As part of the update, the bug is related to rewards and progression systems Borderland 4 We’ve also seen a few fixes, including class mods where players accidentally earn additional skill points in multiplayer and drop incorrect skill points. Borderland 4 Available for PC, PS5, and Xbox series X/s. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned, but for now it is delayed to an unconfirmed date. See the review for more details.

Borderland 4 Patch Notes Updated September 25th, 2025:

Weekly activities:

  • The boss of the weekly big encore switched to a more severe variant of another existing boss.
  • The weekly wildcard mission has been changed. These missions are guaranteed to have legendary drops that you can earn repeatedly to get the ideal roll.
  • Maurice’s black market vending machine moved elsewhere and changed its products. The location is the same, but vending machine items are different from other players, so check if someone has the item they are looking for.

Stability and performance

  • Improved stability and performance.
  • Addressed various instances of hitching, low FPS and crash.
  • We continue to research to further improve stability and performance.
  • Updated text animation for improved performance.
  • When running Auto-Detect in the Visual Menu, you can set the graphics presets high or very high.
  • Fixed an issue where players would get black screen after loading screen for vault symbols.
  • Addressed a rare issue with infinite load screens during cross-play.
  • Improved loading of characters in menus to reduce visible delay when entering character selects.

Rewards and progress

  • Addressed a reported issue that could result in players losing or rewarding unintended extra skill points in multiplayer.
  • Addressed an issue that could prevent the enemy from consistently laying eggs.
  • Update your Repkit Lifesteal Challenge to track Lifesteal from any source.
  • Prevents area discovery trophies/results not being unlocked before discovering all areas.
  • Prevents instances of unowned DLC content that appear on chests and menus.
  • Improved clarity of DLC-related warnings and reward availability.
  • Addressed a reported issue that allowed reward centers to stop functioning after claiming rewards for Gilded Glory Pack.
  • Rewards Center pop-up correctly rule out cosmetics that have already been charged.
  • Lower sales prices for Vending Machine Golden Glory Pack Gear.
  • Updated the Break Free Pack Reward bundle to properly redeem all instances.
  • With the updated challenge timing, players can advance appropriately from Ultimate Vault Hunter (UVH) 4 to UVH 5 after completing the required wildcard missions.
  • Ranking in multiplayer means that non-host players will not see changes to UVH levels, but they can switch to a higher level. This will be addressed in a future update.
  • Updated the class mod to prevent drops at incorrect skill points.
  • We have deleted the echolog “Maurice’s Log” as a requirement for the challenge,” says Kairos. Note: For those who haven’t seen the reward after this change, we’ll address it in future patches.

Vault Hunter will be changed

Gravita Harlow

  • Capstones in the Gravitag Round state have been modified to remove inaccurate language when enemies are not reducing damage.
  • Gravitar Flux Generators will no longer heal enemies with potential teleportation capstones.
  • Updated the Gravitar Accretion Pashive to consistently grant Lifesteal to allies.
  • Addressed a variety of issues with Gravitar Unstable Energy Pockets created from Chroma Accelerator action skills.
  • Includes instances that do not disappear properly, convert to cryo-damage, or split as intended in a specific skill tree combination. Skills seen updated: special purpose magnet enhancement, crushed light cap stone, QED passive, break ice passive, enhance containment violations, and Eureka! Passive.

Forge Night Amon

  • Forgeknight Primal Surge Passive now properly recovers shields and ammunition.
  • As intended, you cannot save venge in the firewall before Scourge is activated because the action skills of the Forgeknight firewall have been adjusted.
  • ForgeKnight Onslaughter Rocket Punch now connects more reliably with shielded enemies.
  • Addressed a reported issue where Forgeknight Forgeaxe was not consistently seeking nearby enemies.

  • Addressed a reported issue regarding the triggering of a Siren Grave Harvest Augment while Incarnate was not active.
  • Addressed a reported issue that the Siren Blight Atunement Passive could fail to cause damage to the timekeeper.
  • Damage caused by Silence Spirit Bomb Passive is properly counted as companion damage and matches the adjusted elements by changing its color.

  • Addressed a reported issue. Prevents Exosoldier’s blowout passives from stacking properly when repeating action skills.

Gameplay

  • Addressed an issue reported on “wrong” side missions where nodes were not consistently generated.
  • Addressed an issue reported in the “Zadra To Zadra To Zadra” mission, where the target could fail if the player exits and restarts.
  • We have updated beam hit detection to prevent beams from blocking properly. EG: Forgeknight Forgeshield.
  • Repkits consistently consumes the correct fee after activating your Forgeknight Scourge action skill.
  • Prevents Forgeknight from sliding at the end of the melting slam.
  • Addressed various reported instances where enemies were stuck.
  • Influenced missions: During Fadefields’ “Kill the Order Army”, “His Vulgar Sanctuary” missions, and “Many Handling” missions.
  • Addressed reported DESYNC issues were observed in the movement of lightweight armature enemies in multiplayer.
  • Updated Zadra Lab High Speed ​​Trips Unlock after discovery.

gear

  • The Vladof Atling Gun Heavy Weapon Ordnance is properly targeting the primitive guardian inceptus.
  • Daedalus Ammoswitcher Queen’s Rest Pistol Licensed Under Barrel Shoots the correct projectile.
  • Gears with short circuit enhancements follow the enemy properly rather than random directions.
  • Addressed reported edge cases can cause an ammunition desk to prevent ammunition from igniting if you interrupt the reload.

Changes to gear balance:

  • Hellwalker: Now it always spawns with the fire element.
  • Tediore Weapons: +10% damage and +10% magazine size.
  • Order Pistol Lucky Clover (Rocket Reload): Improved fire rate.
  • Order Sniper Rifle Fish Eye: Increased damage.

UI & UX

  • If it was not displayed properly, the latest gear thumbnails were updated, and the stand-in thumbnails were properly secured to secure luggage.
  • We’ve updated various UI visuals for alignment, consistency and clarity.
  • Adjusted inventory drop-down menus prevent unintended selected changes.
  • Added D-PAD navigation support to the Remuneration Center to improve handling of inventory overflow messages.
  • The hint bar in the matchmaking menu failed to display the incorrect prompt when joining another player’s game.

  • Updated startup movies to have the correct audio.
  • Settings and Accessibility
  • Field of View (FOV) slider on the (Xbox/PlayStation) console. Note: Increased FOV past the default can cause some dips in performance.
  • The vehicle field in the view settings is now changed for both users when playing with Splitscreen.

  • Addressed to a reported instance of incorrect or deleted characters that appear in the menu or lobby.
  • Tab keys have been enabled in Shift UI.
  • Added haptic feedback added to the controller to enhance missiles that do not exclude controllers.
  • Updated credit list.
