All Hollow Knight Silk Song Boss
The following ongoing table lists all of Hollow Knight: Silksong Bosses in the recommended order: Click on the boss’ names and read strategies on how to beat them and how to get to where. It is also organized by whether each boss is required or optional.
Moss Mother
position: The ruined chapel area of Moss Cave. Go on the only bench in the chapel and cut the moss covering the doorway to find Moss’ mother’s arena.
How to beat: Moss’ mother is a boss that can serve as a tutorial of sorts and isn’t that difficult. Start by monitoring the movements floating from one side of the room to the other, and be careful when she makes a diving bomb. She also hits the ceiling, removes clumps of rock, and summons moss ditches, so beware of dejected debris from the ceiling and small green bugs that get in the way. If you’re not healthy, be sure to bind!
Bel Beast
position: The bone marrow near the entrance. Belbeast is actually stuck on a silk trap. Once you have your Silkspear upgrade in Mosshome, you can leave it bred and break the strands to fight.
How to beat: Belbeast is Silkson’s fast travel horse. You need to beat some sense with your claws before riding it, and this fight is a good opportunity to practice both your silk peasies throw, avoidance and pogo art.
The Belbeast alternates several attacks and starts with a forward dash. When it stops, reduce it to a ramp several times. Sometimes, the Belbeast also jumps over you – running towards the first place that pops out of the ground to avoid being hit. Finally, when the Belbeast erupts from Earth with two big bells, move sideways or jump to avoid them. That’s all you need to worry about halfway through the battle where Belbeasts are summoned by ringing bells from the ceiling to shake things up.
race
position: Deep dock, across the locked gate to your right. You will hear her sing through the gate, but you need to first hit her across her and gain the ability to step quickly to head towards her.
How to beat: The race is Hollow Knight: Silksong, a fun and repetitive boss that reminds you of what Hornet was doing in the original game. You can avoid most of her flight, dash, and slash strikes by jumping over her for an attack from the other side or pogoing from her head. The best time to hit her is after she unleashes one of her moves, as there is always a slight delay before she attacks again.
In the middle of the fight, the race telegraphs a large circle of the arena – she teleports there, unleashing the gust of a zigzag strike, making this clear. When she’s finished, retail! If you’re good at placing her at the edges, you can even knock her out of the platform into lava… alas, she’ll quickly return to action.
The fourth chorus
position: A far field. You will pass this robot’s corpse on the screen in front of the Seamstress building, but will only come back to life after completing the quest and unlocking the Drifter’s Cloak.
How to beat: The key to this fight is to pay attention to the limbs of the fourth chorus. If you attack with your upper limbs, the platform you are standing on will fall apart, and if you attack with your lower limbs, you will need to jump with your drifter’s cloak to float the attack. Cut your head as much as possible as you can. This can be difficult if you are equipped with a Wanderer coat of arms that reduces the range of weapons.
Eventually, the fourth Chrous will start to drop the lava rocks, and the platform you stand on will certainly be very small. Once the wind currents open on either side of the fourth chorus, place them on and break the orange rocks on the ceiling.
A wild beast fly
position: Hunter marching in the Beast Chapel. You need to get on the air current. From the Red Flower Series, Pogo, to unlock the gate with the shortcut lever and shortcut that leads to the boss arena, floating between the walls of spikes in an infuriating parkour stretch.
How to beat: Savage Beastfly begins the fight with both horizontal and vertical charges across the screen. Jumps and slashes, and each time you finish horizontal charge and hit a wall, you get closer to three quick strikes. If you have a wanderer vertex, your attack rate will be faster.
This is easy enough, but when Savage Beast Fly calls the allies, the fight becomes extremely annoying. Luckily, you can attack their allies by getting a savage beast and lining them up with its vertical charge. The reward for all this pain is the Beast’s crest, giving the Hornet a lovely slash attack, turning her binding into a lifestorr.
Sister Sprinter
position: Shellwood, on the right side of the center elevator. Follow the path on the shelf in the next room and use Pogo on top of some spikes and you’ll be in Sister Splinter’s room.
How to beat: Sister Splinter isn’t too difficult for herself, but the minions she summons can be difficult. Kill her by slashing her head upwards and be careful if her claws turn white. That’s a sign of future attacks. She also summons grape grapes descending from the ceiling, making the arena extremely crowded. They stand out from these ranges as they come down and clean them up with a quick nail strike.
Once the sisters tag their minions, either kill them as quickly as possible or feed them in the direction of a claw attack. As long as you keep them from overwhelmed by these additional enemies, the fight isn’t too bad.
It’s stopped for now, but the more blank Knight: Silkson boss is listed here as you progress further into the game. stay tuned!
