FF14 7.3 The release date is official and comes in the first week of August. Game director Yoshida and community producer Muruchi will be back again to show off the climactic patch for Final Fantasy 14 Dawntray. With the current extended story set to reach conclusions, there are many eye-opening things like the return of the FF11 Alliance Raid and the new Deep Dungeon. Today’s FF14 Live Letter 88the pair will look in-game everything in Patch 7.3, with new emphasis on creating something for everyone.
Before we go into detail about the next Final Fantasy 14 update, let’s start with the expected date. FF14 Patch 7.3 will be released on Tuesday, August 5th. “Of course you all knew,” Yoshida said (via translation) “You should have a schedule.” This is an important turning point for being a top candidate among our best MMORPGs for a long time. 7.3 marks the end of the divisive Dawn Trail story, marking the shift to a more long-term, comprehensive arc for Square Enix and Creative Studio 3 over the next decade.
This trailer gives you plenty of glimpses into what to expect. Like before, this is quite a spoiler in previous patches, so don’t watch if you haven’t finished 7.2 msq yet. As teased in the previous live letter, our journey is set to return to the climax at the Mesoterminal. This is also the name of the new story dungeon, and although it is not named for the trial, it appears to be happening in the same area.
Yoshida points out, “The story is a little longer, so please spend plenty of time enjoying it,” adding that our Warriors of Light “focusing more” in the finale. As for the extreme version of the trial, Murouchi bullies him as he can expect to compare something “more executions are tilted, less brain training” to the Battle of Barigarmanda. Yoshida points out that on average he’s about 30 seconds longer, making sure he gets two totems per clearance towards the mount. Muroichi says he never cashes. “I’ll continue until I win the mount.”
The rest of the proposed occult crescent changes will be introduced after a recent emergency update. Entering the island with a group of 24 or more players will create a new exclusive instance and after 5 minutes a mirage of Aurora will occur if the Tower entrance requirements are met. Please note that you need at least 24 players to use the Sanguine Cryptography (up from 16) and will not be selected if you do not provide it. Aurora mirages can no longer be produced until the positive and critical encounter is over.
From here, we’ll quickly run all the other overviews ahead of the actual in-game details. We have the echo of Vanadiel Part 2, Sandalia: Second Walk as an alliance raid. Crystal Conflicts wins Tuliyorral Beach Arena, the Bayside battlefield. Vault Oneiron is the latest treasure. The fight against Seiryu in Stormblood’s snake wreath will be an unrealistic trial. There is also extended mandatory support for the optional Arr Dungeon Cutter’s Cry. Yoshida reveals, “We were screaming for the cutter early in the ARR, ignoring all the regulations we set up to design the dungeon.”
7.3 marks the first iteration of the chat bubble. This is a long-term optional feature that allows players to display chat messages above the character’s head. Speaking of heads, Hrothgar and Viera are ultimately expanding support for more hats, with the option to hide Viera’s ears. “I read the comments and ‘But when I fold them I can’t hear anything more,” Yoshida laughs. “You’re absolutely right, we’ve had that argument, but we’re adding it anyway.” Your character’s bangs are also visible under the headgear, which is a small but welcome change.
Later in the cycle, patch 7.31 introduces the second space exploration location, Phaenna and the new Phantom Weapon Enhancement Quests. Deep Dungeon, a traverse of Pilgrim, arrives at patch 7.35 alongside the Yokhi Allied Society Quest, and in hardboiled, further into the next step in the Hildy Brand Adventure. With all the setups, it’s time for Yoshida to actually jump into the game and show some early glimpses courtesy of his trademark Lalafell Black Mage.
We start with San D’Oria, the second phase of the exploits of the FF11 Crossover Alliance. If you’re playing other Final Fantasy MMOs, if Ronfaure and Horlais Peak are featured early on, you’ll see some familiar zones. Faithbound Kirin was our first boss fight and boasts its classic Manticore style design (and even some audio lines of its own). We look forward to a big visual about the attack, including the massive floating hands and his standing, sparkling story, with the ability to call out the incarnations of the four lords’ FF11.
“Well, well, well,” Yoshida says Seriu will appear. “He summons four lords, but he didn’t want to add them all at once.” He also points to a significant UI change with the introduction of a small cast bar that appears under the name plate above his enemy’s head. He notes that this is currently only available “with bosses we enabled” and can be turned off in settings if you don’t want to see it.
This time you’ll be able to get the Orchestraion Roll easier, with an alliance-specific Coffer drop and a total of 12 grabs. Yoshida then splits his trademark printed paper to show off the rewards of Gear, including the actual winner. There is a Shantotto style error set, an incredibly popular Maxixi outfit worn by FF11 dancers, a version of Prishe’s Outfit. We’ll also take a quick look at some of the new PVP gear, which is more modern, with neon hoods and headphones, stylish jackets and shades, and many other things that you’ll definitely see all over the rimsa soon.
While we deal with valuable charm topics, next on our list is the new treasure dungeon, Vault Oneiron. This looks incredible and appears to be happening on a ship as it soars through the cyberspace of electrode injection. The three outtrunners act as slot machines that determine your battles and rewards. There have been some concerns about the “overwhelming” glam options over the past few weeks, but what we saw here seems to answer with an already impressive Alliance raid and some incredibly flashy outfit style that joins the PVP outfit roster.
After the break we go and see the new deep dungeon that Yoshida emphasizes. The Pilgrim Traverse first takes us to the fairy kingdom of Il Mheg, and of course we are reunited with the beautiful branch Feo ul. But beyond that, if Yoshida’s opening speech is believed, this latest addition may actually represent a change in the ocean.
“There are a few things I want to change throughout FF14, and some things I want to touch on while introducing this deep dungeon,” explains Yoshida. It’s been over 10 years since 2.0, but he “hadn’t had that much content,” he says. Many have been added since then, with uneven patches usually having a larger casual focus, and even updates with a more hardcore option. “I’ve read a lot of feedback you gave after the last PLL. I’ve been thinking a lot since then – what players are supposed to enjoy it when you add new content?”
“We have so much content on FF14 right now,” Yoshida continues, but “For those who don’t savage, “even patches” may bring zero content. Adding 10 new content may allow hardcore players to enjoy three. Casual or more hardcore ways. ”
Yoshida believes that both sides of the player spectrum need to be “extremely” in terms of activity, but she wants to show off the pilgrim traverse as an example of what can perform gaps. Unlike previous incarnations where they only managed party matches on the first 30th floor, you can do that on the 100th floor (although the Core Quest still ends after floor 30). To make up for this, you can reboot from floors 21, 31, 51 and 71, but I’m sure soloing all runs in one attempt will be a success.
Like the previous incarnation of mode, you can take a breather every 10 levels and level up your chosen task when fighting through the floor. Yoshida points out that lingering sin eaters can expect to appear in the boss battle, and that it will become quite difficult later while they reduce the number of one-shots early. “We’re about to return to heavenly difficulty on high,” he says, referring to one of the tougher (more popular) old dungeons featured in Stormblood.
If you make it all the way to the boss on Floor 99, you’ll have a standalone option to fight it in a one-off encounter as a “practical method.” Beating it here will not make you reach the 100th floor, but it offers some rewards and allows you to get used to the fight without having to reboot completely from the floor 71 checkpoints. Once you’ve refined your skills, you can go back to full mode and “discover what’s waiting for on Floor 100”. Of course, there are many rewards. Of course, it includes those that can be sold via the market board. Yes, the beautiful bushes above are one of the mounts offered.
Other rideable options can be found in patches. There are deep dungeon enemy types, floating chandeliers, and hoverboards that are likely to come from space exploration. If you tend to develop people’s program PTSD, there’s even a Yang Mount, so your time has come. On the minions side of things you can see an ice white beaver called “the mysterious creature found in the pilgrim traverse,” which fuses beavers with the sin-eating man.
If you’re a particularly hardcore raider, the last poem (quantum) is for you. You can earn the offering by reaching the 100th floor of the deep dungeon and take on this particularly challenging battle with a party of four. You must wear at least 15 products, but they will not be consumed unless you defeat the boss and open the reward coffer. You can get 40 to complete the first quest, get more in the Pilgrim Traverse or buy from players who are less in the way through the market board.
There are five different products, with up to eight types of each of the 40 total products available in one trial. In doing so, you will upgrade the boss’s maximum health and the efficacy of the four core damage types (physical, bright, dark, fire) and overcome the challenges will make the battle stronger, but you will pay more. “Players can adjust based on the product,” explains Yoshida. “If you feel your weakness is DPS, you may not want to increase your boss’s HP, but instead, you will increase the light damage.”
However, that’s not the only way, as the total number of offerings you make also affects the mechanics of the battle. “I think it’s boring to just change the statistics,” Yoshida says. Players are encouraged to try out different combinations to find something that will help the party. “Try this,” he adds, “Unless you’re clear and get rewarded, you’re not losing your product. And if you can see you can clear with 15 offerings, why don’t you try a little more?”
At the greatest, Yoshida bullies the battle, despite being a slightly shorter period, as it becomes more difficult than the savages on the fourth floor. “Some mechanics with 40 products will be at the ultimate level,” he says. In addition to the guaranteed drops here, you can also obtain blessed storage fragments from the regular final battles of the deep dungeon.
I didn’t expect Deep Dungeon to have such a wide range of options built into it, but if it proves popular, it could be a great sign of the future. We also plan to ensure that Criterion Dungeon is in progress and include it in patch 7.4. Yoshida acknowledges that such diversity is a regular demand. “Of course, I understand when the feedback will be, ‘Why is it too late now?’, but I need to start somewhere. ”
It is time for an in-game demonstration of the Pilgrim Traverse and we can see some mechanics. The dedication is a way to gamble on the next floor, which can produce a variety of positive and negative effects. Pomanders and treasure funds return, the latter can be awarded a fragment of a glass of illuminated ether pool. This is tradeable for rewards that include suits reminiscent of the Shadowbringers’ Lord of the Length Gate. Meanwhile, the cursed hoarders hand out mounts, minions and orchestrion rolls, including Feo ul Minion.
In such a long show, Yoshida and Muruuchi pause again before returning to talk about system updates. In response to the chat comments, Yoshida says the team is “almost done” with updates to increase the number of residential items placed. “But it needs a little more time. He says that blacklist improvements are ongoing and can be purchased and stacked with Phoenix Downs with a 360-second recast timer and the ability to use them to use players during battle during Deep Dungeons, Instance Dungeons, Treasures, Guild Hestos, Four-Performance Trials, and Valint Don John.
A new “Portrait Mode” has been added to GOPRES, allowing you to quickly rotate your 90-degree screen and capture high-quality snaps from WOL. There is a new chromatic aberration filter for the ability to rotate text stickers and a more stylized snap. You can also adjust the intensity of the colored filter. Among the Gold Saucers, Ukramat, Koana and Bakurjaja have joined the roster of Doman Majong’s companions who can cheer you on as you perform.
The range of character displays has increased, with two new settings that allow you to see other people and enemies from even further afield, but the maximum character limit remains the same. Yoshida then shows off the chat bubble. Chat bubbles are disabled by default and do not prevent text from appearing in the chat log as normal, even if it is turned on. They support up to one or two lines of text that they like, and can adjust the appearance, including bubbles and text colors, depending on the chat mode.
There is no chat bubble during battle or in PVP, but Yoshida says the team “discussed a lot.” He is worried that such inclusions will “use features on players.” For example, letting people hit a specific macro when they get a debuff. “We didn’t want to create an environment where other players felt compelled to use the feature during the attack,” he explains, adding, “This may change in the future for now.”
Finally, Yoshida also notes some important PVP balance changes. Purify’s recast time has been reduced from 24 seconds to just 4 seconds, but it costs 2,500. This means that it must be carefully considered in use. The resilience effect lasts from 3 seconds to just 2 seconds. To track the action, the visual effects of players affected by undead red slugs, nebulae, titen, fire wreaths and ice wreaths will become permanent.
