Metaray-Ban Displays are currently available in some physical US stores, but most stores need to ensure they have demos to buy.
The first smart glasses with Meta lens displays announced two weeks ago at Connect 2025 can be purchased at Select Best Buy, Lenscrafters, Sunglass Hut, Ray-Ban Store, and Metallab.
Most stores require you to book an in-person demo to buy glasses. However, the demo is currently reserved in many locations until late October, and is also available for November or December.
During the demo, staff will measure your wrists to know which of the three metaleneural band sizes is best for your wrist.
Meta plans to add more stores to increase the availability of the demo. “We’re adding more stores to meet demand and opening new availability every day,” the company says.
Meta says they will eventually sell their products online. But for now, I have to go to a physical store.
The Metaray-Ban display comes in two sizes: shiny black and matte sand, two colors, standard and large. All colors and sizes come with transition lenses, which will darken depending on the light, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
-4 to +4 prescriptions are supported. If you’re outside of that range, you’re not in luck.
According to Meta, glasses will also be coming to the UK, Canada, France and Italy in early 2026.
A $800 priced Metaray-Ban display does everything a regular Ray-Ban Meta-Metagrams do and features a small fixed HUD (head-up display) on the right lens with an interface that interacts using finger gestures detected in the included metaneural band.
Metaleneural bands work by sensing activation of the wrist muscles that drive finger movements. The wristband contains tactile feedback, has an IPX7 water resistance rating, and Meta claims it should provide a battery life of around 18 hours.
The Meta Ray-Ban Display monocular HUD has a brightness of approximately 20 degrees, up to 5000 nits, and a field of view with a resolution of 600 x 600, offering 42 pixels per degree. The display has only 2% light leakage. This means that others nearby can essentially see it.
The meta can be displayed as follows:
• Meta AI with visuals: Meta AI can do more if paired with visuals. show You will not only read something to you, but also answer step-by-step how-tos. Using a metalneural band, you can easily move the steps by simply swiping your thumb left or right.
• Messaging and video calls: When your glasses show a short text, whatsapp message, or a reel shared by a friend, it’s very easy to stay connected while you stay in that moment. The Meta Ray-Ban display allows you to personally view text and multimedia messages from WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and mobile phones. You can also receive live video calls from WhatsApp and Messenger and show your friends what you’re looking at through your glasses.
• Preview and Zoom: Real-time camera viewfinder and zoom features help you get the perfect shot on your first try. The display makes it easy to select your favorite photos and videos.
• Pedestrian navigation: You need to walk in a direction without a phone and go where you need it. Select your destination and use a visual map of the area shown on the glass display to get the turn-by-turn walking direction. We’ll be launching pedestrian navigation for some of the beta cities and continuing to add more over time.
• Live Captions and Translations: Metaray-Ban Display breaks down barriers with live captioning capabilities. When prompted, you can view captions of speeches directed at you and translate the language of your choice in real time.
• Music Play: Use the music cards shown on your glasses display to see what you’re listening to in real time. Swipe left and right with your thumb to navigate the music, or pinch your fingers and rotate your wrist to rotate the volume.

Metaray-Ban display glasses weigh 69 grams. This is 52 grams with regular Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, 45 grams if not smart. It is also remarkably bulky, with thick frames and temples. However, this is a trade-off to adding a display.
The company claims that glasses should get around 6 hours of battery life in normal use, but you’ll need to get them for reviews to see it in the real world.
In a software update set for December, Meta says that Meta Neural Band can enter text by swiping letters with your index finger onto a physical surface.
Metarayban Display Hands-On: The Perfect Wristband for Faulty Glasses
Metaray-Ban displays are first-generation devices with significant defects, and the metaneural bands work so well that they feel magical.

I practiced the Metaray-Ban display and metaneural band from Connect 2025. The glasses proved to be a first-generation device with a noticeable defect, but the wristbands work very well. You can read us The complete impression here.
update: Hours after the publication of this article, Meta updated its guidance to remove a statement that demos are not strictly necessary to purchase Metaray-Ban displays.
