FF14 7.35 It was fully revealed at the Tokyo Games Show, courtesy of game director Yoshida Yoshiori and community producer Muruchi. The event, live streamed by Square Enix, was played quite a bit like the regular Final Fantasy 14 In the live letter, we perfectly saw what we can expect from the FF14 patch 7.35. This is an important turning point for the highly acclaimed MMORPG. Not only is it a final update before moving the story towards the next expansion, it is also a testbed of some new mechanisms and ideas set up to pave the way for the future.
The pair reveals that they can now play everything they watch today. FF14 7.35 release date is Tuesday, October 7th. Yoshida confirms that this includes the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wild crossover. This will face Guardian Arkbell in Final Fantasy 14. As mentioned earlier, it also features a new pilgrim traverse deep dungeon, quotes from YOK HUY Allied Society, and a continuation of the difficult Hildibrand Adventures with your favorite inspector.

The Pilgrim Traverse is certainly going to be a big topic. Yoshida re-emphasizes his desire for players to test the features of its fluctuating difficulty. He previously discussed in Deep Dungeon’s first public and expanded when talking to us on Gamescom. “If you’re interested in what’s coming to the future of Final Fantasy 14, the Pilgrim Traverse will be a great place to try it out,” he says (via an unofficial translation from FF14 Discord’s live letter “Iluna Minili”).
After that, Capcom’s Ryozo Tsujimoto will join Yoshida and Murouchi on stage to join the Monster Hunter collaboration. To summarise what we already know, we need to be at level 100 and complete the 7.0 DawnTrail MSQ and try. However, in reality, the average item level required for Windward Wilds is 725, which is the same as the 7.3 Story Trial, so it probably has to be close to the latest. In a similar way, you will need to reach item level 740 in extreme cases. Both are designed for eight players, but can be found in custom groups of any size.
Yoshida explains that the FF14 Dev team is working with developers at Monster Hunter Studio. “No matter how hard you try, there’s always this particular conflict where elements from both games don’t mesh well with each other.” But he says that each side “decided to do whatever it takes to make the fight the best ever and provide the player with the best experience.”
Yoshida has put a big focus on “personal responsibility” in his battle with Arkveld, suggesting that “there may be fewer group-based mechanisms.” That’s tied to how Stormblood’s battle with Latalus unfolded, and honestly, it’s a rational representation of how most people play Monster Hunter, with support builds tending to be less common.
In addition to the rewards we had a glimpse of last week, there’s more to see. Stormblood’s Monster Hunter World Crossover has rethinked some of the armor in a more FF14 style, but Yoshida wants to remain “very faithful” to Wilds Designs this time. All weapons are in the base and expanded versions. That is, if you’re looking for a glamorous, you should be able to get them from the usual difficult fights.
This also sees which jobs get which weapons and, as I guessed, there are some strange choices. The Black Mage is given a hammer, and it appears that the Warrior uses a converted charge blade rather than a switch axe. The Dark Knight gets the Great Sword, and the Samurai equips the Long Sword. The ninja and dancer both have Wild dual blade variations, but Viper is handed the original design. I think my biggest winner is probably the Red Mage. This adapts the Arkbell Dance to its own means.
We’ve already seen the Seikret mount, but there are other options too. This is a medical cart used when you faint in a battle in the Wild. As you ferry two enthusiastic Parisian ferries, your warrior of light is motionless and depressed by this. Then there are Baby Sacrett and Vigor minions, Ferrin’s housekeeper and various home furniture, both indoors and outdoors. Finally, I won the 5 songs listed, the Framers Kit, Fashion Accessories and Orchestraion Roll.
Yoshida then jumps into the actual battle, stating that while he and the art director’s performance are clearly familiar with the mechanics, the other six who join them are completely fresh. “Don’t warn them for mistakes,” he says. This is a much more important preview than you normally get during a live letter, so you can get a glimpse into what you have in store if you want. Conversely, players who prefer to experience battles without first meeting should clearly pilot them.
One of the highly used mechanics is the “Rolling Wave” AOES, which has been used quite a lot in recent battles such as the Dawntrail Alliance Raids. In many cases, these overlaps need to be handled. You also need to pay close attention to the Arkveld movement. Especially when raising the chain ship on your arm,
Despite Yoshida’s attention, the group can cut Arkveld to 34% on the first attempt and clear it on the second run before the shared damage marker proves that only three players are alive. It’s certainly a bit confusing, but if you’re used to normal raids, it looks very manageable on normal difficulty.
Just like in the Battle of Lazaros, once the battle is over, you can carve Arkveld for additional rewards. It will then be handled in a small glam showcase. There, Yoshida states that armor has two dye channels, giving you a glimpse into some of the variants that can be created. Looking up at them, I have the creeping suspicion that the clever Nuris is actually four small arkveld hunting horns, and it warmed me even more.
It’s definitely a bit sad not to get the Arkveld mount, but I have to say that Kurt is probably one of the best I’ve ever seen and makes up for it. Yoshida says the design really pushed the limits of mount functionality. I certainly look forward to this encounter, but the extreme is that you need to pull out a big gun into the Omega battle in Top Monster Hunter Wild.
Yoshida closes with one last obvious release, but three outfits based on Final Fantasy Tactical characters, Ramza, Oberia and Guffgallion, will be coming to the online store on Tuesday, September 30th to celebrate the release of Ibalisk Tronicle. There are also several orchestrion rolls to collect.
