Looking for a White Word Walkthrough at Hollow Knight: Silksong? So far, if you’ve been following a Silk Song walkthrough, you’re at a crossroads now. We explored the choir room, so at this point there are many different paths to follow, but the way we chose to get closer to our next move skill, Clawline, which makes for an uneasy white word.
in Part 18 of Silksong Walkthroughcarefully take all the parts of the white area beneath the Citadel, showing you how to make the most of everything you encounter along the way, and an ideal path to get through it and break into the under works.

White Word Walkthrough Step:
- Unlock the White Word entrance.
- Get the commandments of the choir.
- Reach the spool fragment under the elevator.
- Get the Silker.
- Get the white word map.
- Loot the injector band.
- Drop down underwork.
1. Unlock the entrance to the white word.
If you track it along every step of your previous walkthrough, you will already need to get the white key just to the right of the entrance to Songclave’s first shrine. If not, go now.

After that, the fastest path to White Ward is to quickly move to the Choral Chamber Bench Lica Station and head as right as possible. Eventually you will come across a large elevator with a keyhole on the pedestal in front of it. Interact with the pedestal to unlock the gate.
Before you get off, cross the elevator and you’ll find a bench (partially occupied) on the other side. Before digging further into this new, hindered area, we’ll find a very useful resting spot.
2. Get the commandments of the choir.
Get on the elevator to the bottom and sew your hips for a scary time. This is a white ward, with the Citadel performing an unspeakable silk-based experiment on pilgrims, corrupting the results.
If you cross the left all the way, you will come across another pedestal with the keyhole. This requires a surgeon key that we don’t currently have – another key (surgeon key). So for now I’m going beyond that, but please make a mental note of it later.

At the end of the pass, climb upwards and you will reach and pass through the steam vent tunnel room. You can either enter a ground level path into a larger room or climb that room and fall to the other side. Either way, there’s little difference. On the left side of the room you will see a pram containing items. Plunder it for the commandment of the choir.
After plundering the commandments of the choir, a new enemy will ambush you as you walk to the right. This is the shell of a dregg and may look like a nightmare, but you stay below it and just slash upward and are completely safe.
3. Reach the spool fragment under the elevator.
Head to the right side of the room and cut through various fragile walls until you find a lever. If you reduce that too, it unlocks the path to the moved elevator shaft and locks it along with the path to the other side.

However, before lying down, go up the elevator shaft and climb back up to the top. For this next bit, you need to act fast. Push the pressure plate to call the elevator upwards and immediately descend to the midway point you just came and duck to either the left or right side.

Wait for the elevator to pass through you, then drop all the way to the bottom in front of the elevator. This is the easiest way to reach the secret section just below the ground level of the elevator where you can collect spool fragments.

4. Get the Silker.

Return to the midpoint of the elevator shaft and enter the passage on the right. Head straight and destroy the fragile walls at the far end.
In this next room, when you climb onto the far-right wall you will find a Silker egg at the top, partially hidden in the shadows in the foreground. After getting the Silker, you’ll return double from the room.
5. Get the white word map.

Next, lower the hole next to the broken wall. On the left you will see a small dome structure that you can interact with to get a map of white words. You will need to pay 70 rosary, but it is worth getting the region map as soon as possible.
6. Loot the injector band.
From the map model, head towards the room, head right and pass the furnace. Along the way, you are attacked by another horrifying new creature: the undertaker. These nasty enemies like to charge you, but you also like to jump (your attempts will try to jump over them a lot of time, as you might imagine). Take them in carefully. And don’t be afraid to use tools to make the fight easier.

If you kill it, jump over the spike to the right. That way you will find another property waiting for you. This too kills (or bypasses) and reaches the edge of the hallway. Again, the financially disabled are waiting – but you don’t have to fight this, as your path is above. Climb onto the shelf above you and head left.
At the end of this pass, you can go beyond the spikes and plunder the floor items to get an injector band. In my opinion, this is one of the most useful tools you’ll find in Silkson. It’s just to speed up your binding (heal) animation, but that alone makes it a very powerful tool and can always be included in future builds.

7. Drop down underwork.

Return from the injector band, jump over the gap you climbed and follow the path to the right. The ground you land is covered in hot coal, so you drop any gaps in slim, orange lights and jump right over.
Fall into the room below and attack the wall on the left (ground level) to reveal a small secret passageway containing the rosary beads. But be careful – you will be ambushed and cornered by giant drapemite as you proceed to the aisle. Jump to the end of the passage and continue the pogo to make the fight easier.

Once that’s handled, you’ll pass through all the rotating blades and then go back and drop further. You’re at Underworks now, out of reach of that terrible white word – for now.
What about the doors that have been locked for a while?
For the time being, that’s all we can explore in White Ward – it’s time to work together with the Underworks region to unleash the ability to ultimately move. Check out Part 19 of the Silkson Walkthrough for support in this upcoming region!
