Hollow Knight: Are you trying to step into Sinner’s Road for the first time at Silksong? Thinner’s roads are roughly as dangerous and foreshadowing as the blown up stairs we visited previously (if you follow along with the Silk Song walkthrough). The path of sinners is not a terrible, large area, but it is very difficult to get a handy bench where you can rest to make life easier.

Walkthrough Steps in the Sinner’s Path:
- On the way, you enter the path of a sinner from above the house.
- Get used to fighting Macroach.
- Get barbed wire.
- Meet Crull and Benjin.
- Get the Sinner Roadmap from Shakura.
- Repair a terrible broken bench.
- Reach the eastern shaft.
- It paves the way to Bilewater.
- Rescue the trapped fleas.
- Find the path to Styx again.

1. Enter the path of a sinner from above the house along the way.
Just when we last left off, you walked past the final judge and stepped into the Grand Gate at the start of Act 2. However, this time it’s time to double back as Act 1 region is not finished yet.
Backtrack to the blasted staircase Bellway, and a fast trip to Greymore. From there, head to the house along the way, to the entrance to the road of a sinner I discovered earlier, and in the upper right corner of the room. From here you can start your local walkthrough properly.
2. Get used to fighting Macroach.
The first room of the Sinner’s Way soon introduces their most troublesome inhabitants, namely McRoach. If you went back to Greymoor and took the secret passage to Styx, you’ve already come across some of these, but I recommend you spend time really learning how to fight these creatures in this room.
Be careful – they don’t have much before jumping at you, and if they catch you exponentially, they deal two damage. McLoachs’ best bet is to retreat quickly with each hit, not to exacerbate multiple McLoaches at once. If so, don’t be afraid to use your tools to make your fights more manageable.
Along the way along this long first room, there may be ground level cages inside. Break the right side of the cage and grab the item – a worn rosary thread. Next, when you’re ready, head to the next room.
3. Get barbed wire.
In the next room, a lever appears on the floor. Don’t pull it yet – it will send you into worm-infected water. If you land in insect water, it infects hornet and prevents her healing until you get enough silk to tie it up. That first binding will remove the infection to you, but it won’t heal you. That’s awkward thing.
Instead, head straight to the right and head over to the room beyond. This corridor is very similar to the front corridor full of cages and mac roach, but this time the extra danger is the new flying enemy, the Roach Feeder. They aren’t as annoying as McRoach in their own right, but they have a nasty blade attack to watch out for.
At the end of the pass is a dead end, and just below it you will see a cage passing through that street and entering the room below. Parkour at the bottom of this lower room and you’ll find a new tool – barbed wire. It’s a double-edged sword, this one. Barbed wire bracelets increase needle damage, but also increase damage. If I were you, I’ll leave it as is for now.
4. Meet Kururu and Benjin.
Place the lever on the floor and backtrack it into the room (don’t pull it yet!) and climb the cage on the right. You will see an unusual green NPC in your left cage when you go – ignoring him for now, we will come back to him later.
At the top, take the exit on the right. Send two enemies carefully to prevent them from falling into the worm’s water. Next, head the spiked wheels off the shelf.
At the end of the pass there is still a door that cannot be unlocked, so go back and use the cage hanging above to climb up. Pogo from the next wheel on the shelf in the middle of the room. Be careful – the moment you grab the attention of the roach feeder on top, another enemy appears from above, and both will attack you immediately.
Once they are killed, continue the pogo to the left and deal with the mites embracing against the wall. Then climb that wall and pogo and return from the higher spike wheels. You reach another shelf and kill with Lohachatcher. After that, do the same thing, climb the wall to the left to reach the spike wheel at the top of the room.
Pogo all these wheels towards the right and use the castaway cloak to float to the shelf on the far right. On this shelf there is a small shed where you can go inside to meet some new NPCs (Crull and Benjin).
Talk to them, kill McRoach and embrace their quest to plunder their courage for a great meal for the pair (Yuck). It is worth doing this quest while leaving the way of a sinner. Your reward is Tuck – an excellent weapon tool that is one of my favorites in all Silksons.
5. Get the Sinner Roadmap from Shakura.
Leave Kururu and Benjin’s hut and return to the shelf in the middle of the room. From there, go back up again until Lohachachacher is on the shelf attacking you. However, this time, I will drop the hole to the left. There is a locked gate leading west and can be opened using levers on the shelf below.
In the next room, you will see an exit on the left almost immediately, crossing the cage and diagonally towards your eyes. You can walk through it and head to the next room and hear the pleasant sound of Shakura’s song.
In this next room there is a pendulum spike wheel that crosses the worm’s water – you can either measure a jump like pogoing the same pendulum twice, or pogo from one time to float on the other side. There you can talk to Shakura and buy a map of the Sinner’s Road for the 90 Rosary.
6. Fix a terrible broken bench.
Next to Shakura, there is finally a bench. Pay 60 rosaries and open them. Unfortunately, the mechanism that lifts it is packed with something. This is part of the reason why thinner paths make butt pain. It takes a lot of effort to get the bench you work for.
If you want to get her opinion on the constant new noise of the bench mechanism, you can talk to Shakura again. He then climbs onto the wall above her and bumps into the wall above her, revealing a secret passage.
Below is a very tricky obstacle course with lots of floats to avoid spikes and jump off the wall at the right moment. Continue to the end and fall into the worm water. Don’t worry, this time you’re OK to stop by despite being infected.
Swim to the end and attack the grape grapes that interfere with the bench mechanism and fix it. You can then climb onto the wall above you, fractured the floor and return the shortcut back to the bench where you are now running. Finally get a rest!
The bench is secured so you can ring the bell to reach the air before floating on the shelf on the top right where you can get the rosary for trouble.
7. Reach the eastern shaft.
Once you rest and heal the intrusion, go back to the right and return to the shaft and use the cage to climb upwards. If it gets a little higher you will need to jump around the narrow passageway between the spikes. Drop down at this point and you can pull the lever that drops the cage down, allowing for a simple pass from the ground to the bench room.
Once that’s over, I continued climbing to the top. In the room above, flick one of the levers to reach the appropriate ground level for this room and head to the right. You will be faced with a corridor soaked in another nasty Macroche, along with many pendulums and even greater threats: the big, giant Rochy Keeper.
Choose whether to fight him or not. In any case, you need to stand on the far right of his platform and pogo your path past the pendulum on the right to reach the next platform – where Another Rachkeeper is patrol.
Again, fights and evasions are up to you. Continue to the edge of the room and flick the lever on the ceiling to open the gate. This will lead you to another tall vertical shaft like the one in front.
8. It paves the way to Bilewater.
There is a pair of cages that immediately form a step to the right. Up the two cages, then drop the back of the second cage and reach the shelf with the mites.
Once you have killed a mite, look down and you’ll see a shelf below with the items on it. Wall jump from the cage to reach the item (shard bundle), and attack the wall to the right of the item to reveal a new passage.
This passageway is much more than it looks – in fact it’s a road to a brand new area called Bilewater. I haven’t made any further progress yet, so I’ll go back double to the shaft. But please make a spiritual note on this road later!
9. Rescue the trapped fleas.
Immediately drop it down from the broken wall and land in the lower cage. You can now collect the rosary, then drop the right side further down and find a small off-screen passage between the cages below.
Killing McRoach in the next room will allow you to pass to the other end and open the cage to rescue trapped fleas. Then backtrack back to the shaft again.
10. Find the path to Styx again.
Fall into the bottom of the shaft and hug the wall on the right to prevent it from landing in the worm’s water. You’ll pass through the next room. This is a vacant threat except for spikes (and a caged McLoach that doesn’t reach you). Once you enter the cage just below the McLoach, you will need to attack the other end of the cage and continue to advance.
At the end of the pass, you meet a familiar face – styx! This time we reached his place from another direction. Take this opportunity to return to the shaft again before resting on a silky bed by his house.
11. As for his simple key, kill Rochie.
Return to the shaft and climb all the way to the top. Once you reach the top of the shaft, it becomes a nasty, precise little jump puzzle to avoid a set of wall spikes. At the top, press the lever to open the path above and kill any rochipers that appear at this level. When he dies, he drops a simple key for you.
You can then drop the passage on the left and quickly return the shaft.
12. Free the Green Prince.
This is how it got into the shaft in the first place. Once you’ve returned like this again, you should meet Garmond and Zaza on your way to a fortress like you. You can exchange some words for Garmonds, but then pass them and step into the broken bench before finding Shakra.
Next, drop down near the bottom of the connection shaft and once you reach the level patroled by the Rachcatcher, this time drop down the left side and float to avoid spikes. At the bottom, you can speak appropriately on a Green NPC named Green Prince.
Using a simple key (despite his wish) unlock his cells and run out of his dialogue. This means nothing to you right now, but it will take effect later in the walkthrough.
What about the levers on the ground?
13. It’s coming out in the fog.
Now, go back to the top of the shaft again, this time across the spiked pendulum and head left. At the far end there is a wall that you can climb. This way you can jump to a higher shelf that another lockkeeper has patrolled. Kill or bypass it, then go back over the top level shelf and pendulum to reach a rosary-filled chest.
For now, it’s all about doing on thinner roads. Take a step forward. Return again to the left side where the lockkeeper was patrolling. Climb that wall on the left. Attack until you break the top of the wall.
Follow the path and enter a temporary and unique territory known as the Mist.
14. Pass through the fog.
Fog is the puzzle area. The rooms are randomized correct Leave each room. Take the wrong exit at any point (or lowering it from the bottom of any room) and send you back to the starting room.
To find out which exit is correct, explore until you find a small white moth and play Needlin nearby. After a while they fly to the right exit and show you the path forward through the mist.

Pass the first three rooms of fog and reach the marked midpoint in a simple corridor. Then you will pass through three more rooms to reach the end. They then arrive at another new area: exhaust equipment.
Also, if it returns to double at this point, you will see that the fog has disappeared. What remains is a single large room in the sinner’s path, where the various misty rooms and layouts appear vaguely similar. spooky.
