You can get great performances from the kingdom. However, to make the most of the incredible medieval views you can achieve in this game, Best Kingdom is set to be born 2 On your gaming PC or laptop.
The requirements for the Kingdom Come Come Deliverance 2 system start at a low level. This means that most gamers should be able to achieve 30fps performance with low advanced settings at 1080p. Additionally, you don’t need to exceed the 60fps frame rate for a satisfying, smooth experience. So, even if you want to run Kingdom Come Derverance 2 with the recommended settings, you don’t need the best graphics card to get a smooth 60fps experience at 1440p. However, this game is highly demanding when it comes to RAM so you don’t need the best game ram, but if you want to run this game well, the 32GB kit is the recommended upgrade.

Kingdom Come: Derverance 2 has a first-person perspective, but its relatively slow pace means that unlike many first-person shooters, a high frame rate means that it has high priority. However, we recommend aiming for a setting of over 60fps average and at least 1% of 40fps. The latter is an average of at least 1% of frame time, and is a more representative figure for the typical drop in frame rates that can be obtained in some areas of the game. This is in contrast to the perfect minimum frame rate that can be discarded by one random interruption on the test PC.
In the test system, at 1080p using the above settings using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, the game averaged 74fps and 60fps 1% lower. This did not reduce the quality of the graphics much, but it created a reasonably smooth emotional experience that endured some of the more intense combat-focused moments.
In fact, the game isn’t dramatically different, from low advanced settings to medium, high, ultra, and even experimental graphics settings.
In Medium, Ultra introduces more wavy, realistic surfaces, such as muddy tracks and stone walls (you can right-click or right-click or watch in full size), as shown in the image below. From left to right in both images, quality settings are low, medium, high, ultra, and experimental.
The shadow quality step up is high enough, the performance drop is low enough, and medium details are fine for most users. However, when I dropped it to a lower setting on my test system, it jumped to an average of 87.6fps, 70.1fps 1% lower at 1080p.
In the detailed settings, the system has dropped to an average of 67.8fps, but here comes the higher memory requirements than the Kingdom recommends. The system requirements are 24GB of RAM for 60fps+ performance at 1080p. Although the 16GB test system had no maximum RAM allocation, the game appeared to be struggling with memory bandwidth.
The struggle continued when we moved to the Ultra setting, although averaged 56.6fps, but only 27fps was 1% lower. Oddly, choosing a more apparently higher experimental setting resulted in better frame rates, with the game being hits averaged 58fps and 43fps 1% lower.
Importantly, if you choose other settings and still play at 1080p, you should absolutely turn on DLSS or FSR and set it to native AA instead of using other anti-aliasing settings (SMAA 1X, SMAA 1TX, SMAA 2TX). All the other anti-aliasing options in the game look very awful, and the entire image becomes blurry and loses detail. The FSR actually looks better than DLS when it comes to dealing with aliasing, such as the jugged edges of the test image, but the DLSS is preserved in a bit more detail.
As for how resolution affects performance, getting a maximum of 2,560 x 1,440 (1440p) steps in the medium setting reduced the average frame rate to 74fps, bringing a low hit of 1% 61fps. On the other hand, choosing to run in 4K did not have as much performance impact as expected.
Our average was 59fps, but the 1% lower value was 50fps, which is still a neatly playable frame rate. In the image below, you can see the difference that occurs when the image increases the resolution from 1080p (left) to 1440p (center) to 4K (right).
1440p also offers sharper image quality than 1080p with DLSS native AA, while also exploringly avoiding DLS in quality mode rather than native AA. This gave us an average of 73.6fps, a 1% lower average of 44.6fps. Meanwhile, in 4K with balanced DLSS, 1% dropped to 29fps, but achieved an average frame rate of 72.5fps.
Method 2 Testing Kingdom Rescue
uses a dedicated gaming rig to test the best settings for performance and gameplay with the latest release. The test rig used to play Kingdom includes the following components: Intel Core I7 11700F, NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070 12GB, 16GB DDR4 3,200MHz RAM, MSI B560 motherboard. Also test using Windows 11 64bit.
First run the test at 1,920 x 1,080 to identify the best settings for this entry-level resolution, then again at 2,560 x 1,440 and 4K to measure performance differences using the same setup. CapFramex is used to capture frame data and compare test sessions.
Does the Kingdom need Rescue 2?
Kingdom Come:Derverance 2 requires an SSD, and you can feel this fact when playing the game. Measured measurements took more than 90 seconds to load a saved game on Kuttenberg map. So upgrading to one of the best gaming SSD options really helps to keep your gaming and map loading times down.
Anyway, such an upgrade is worth it anyway as it makes Windows boot faster and the system more responsive. If your motherboard has a PCIE 4.0 M.2 port, we recommend picking up your Samsung 990 Pro at current prices. The same applies to memory upgrades to a high-speed 32GB kit.
How to monitor Kingdom performance Come Derverance 2
If you want to focus on Kingdom’s performance, Come:Derverance 2 has an easy way to do it, whether you’re using an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card.
For NVIDIA cards, install the NVIDIA app and make sure you have enabled in-game overlays, then press ALT + R to view the performance monitor in-game. With an AMD card, you can enable performance monitoring via the Radeon overlay using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+O.
Alternatively, you can download free software like CapFramex or Nvidia Frameview to get a cleaner, more simplified benchmarking tool that works with any graphics card.
