Now it’s time for 007 to step into the spotlight, but this isn’t to say that this is his first stint in video games – Goldeneye and Sunset It remains certified classic. What actually sets IO interactive 007 First Light Apart from that, it is a story of the origins of a young James Bond, whose charm clashes with a rude, impulsive, and indeed rebellious attitude. Nevertheless, he is a “bullet”, and according to M, when he has a target, he is completely merciless.
Thanks to more than 30 minutes of new gameplay, we learned a little more about who its targets were in the first step of Bond’s journey to 007 status. Through all this, the car gets damaged in real time, with the bumper hanging from its back and eventually falling. I can’t rely on this to be more than cosmetics, but it feels good.
Killing and Destruction License
Later, an attempt to penetrate the airfield failed, and Bond received a license to kill him. There is a cover-based shooting with a shotgun, handgun, and SMG to take hordes of enemies, which appears to be solid enough, but the real-time destruction is even more appealing. Destroying the explosive red barrel will destroy the overhead passages and create a ramp to improve access to the highlands. These changes in environments come out later, but I’m also a fan of how Bond picks up weapons, kicking them off the ground and preparing them straight away.
Melee combat and environmental takedown
That part where Bond grabbed the enemy and threw him off the shelf was pretty clean, but even more incredibly, using another enemy’s body to alleviate his fall. Such grabs are just part of a close combat system that includes takedowns, strikes and parasitists. He can also slide the enemy across the table or car hood, or fly their weapons into the air for easy catch. Also, when it comes to 007, I am not against using his environment to raise my legs above the enemy, throwing empty guns and other objects at the enemy, and hitting them against the table or glass. Another moment was to kick a cart full of explosive canisters with enemies, then shoot it, causing a massive explosion.
Big hit set pieces

After passing through a horde of enemies and catching the 009 plane, he somehow finds himself in the car on the airport ladder. Tilt to the right and various wooden frames and jeeps will crush them to the sides. Are there a second group of villains waiting? Tilt left to create open space in the wooden frame, perfect for throwing enemies away. Even when he fails to score 009, Bond still manages a stylish escape, skydiving past the crate and commands parachutes from the enemies (a nod that is obvious to the legendary Moonraker scene).
Seize the opportunity
Gear-shifting IO interactives show the benefits of listening to NPC conversations and seizing opportunities. To infiltrate the gala in Kensington, London and pursue an assassin, Bond will have to head upstairs, which is impossible without a press badge. Luckily, he overhears a journalist complaining that her photographer is late. After learning the man’s name, Bond returns as Mr. Rob Minkley, but he still needs to get the camera. This is just one example, as other opportunities may arise when paying attention to the environment and talking to NPCs. Scanning with a Bond signature watch is useful in this regard, but that’s not the only thing.
Q Gadgets

One of my favorite elements in the Gameplay Showcase is the ability to bluff specific targets. Using focus allows bonds to essentially sweeten the way they get out of the situation. Some enemies don’t always work as they have his charismatic immunity, but it’s still quite fun to invite loud enemies and bluff your ally, especially.
